To be fair here it's not just "Ange's list" that needs consideration. As long as he's not against it and it ticks other boxes it's something that has to be considered. You can't just go out and buy everyone the manager wants, and this one is seen by certain people at the club as a win win.
As I say I hope Gabaninni wins this one, but that's purely because I don't want him myself.

Levy probably sees it is a win-win as we can get rid of some deadwoods while we get Johnson, however it is a financial perspective instead of football as usual

Well it does seem to be turning into another Levy thread.
I think people get too emotional with signings, I’m sure all clubs employ some tactics where the club influences a signing over the manger (if thats even the case here) - some will work, some wont. Who cares.
He’s a decent player, and you’ll pay extra for a Premier League player with speed, which is something we’re lacking.
I dont expect the squad to he completely turned around in one window, Ange is on a 5 year deal, things will take time.

Yep. He’s achieved far more than Orban/Nuamah etc but because those players look more electric in weak leagues they have people frothing at mouth for them to sign.

I think also people generally take ITK with a pinch of salt, unless it agrees with what they already believe and then it’s gospel.
I agree that the positive start to the season also has people getting a bit over excited, it’s a long term project (well, hopefully medium term).
