Very tough to be objective in any real way but when you look at the teams played I do think Ange would be lucky to get manager of the month this month. You can't go on points alone, there has to be some context placed on expectation and quality of opponent otherwise it's a bit of a waste of time.

If we'd had a turgid first 2 months and then had this form he would get it but people's expectation of us is already a lot higher, which is mental and just goes to show how quickly perception of teams change in football. We were a dogshit mid-table team according to pundits and fans (our own and opposition) before the season started, we're 10 games in and now we're expected to win every game we play!

Some gems from today:

Did you go to the team meal, it looked fun?

“The reason it was fun was because I wasn't there.”

No one likes to be reunited with an ex, especially when your ex is with someone now that you hate, but are you hopeful Spurs fans won't show hostility towards Mauricio Pochettino?

“Jeez that is a lot to take in. Thankfully those sort of days are well past me. I think your reference is to Mauricio right?”

How are you?

“I'm just getting over my ex and thinking about the future?”

Would you ever go back to an old club or the national team?

"No, knowing my nature it's unlikely. Once they're exes, they're exes mate! You've messed with my head now!"

If we do get players in I assume they will be expected to be normal starters ? If so some noses could be put out of joint. We seem to have a very close knit squad at the moment hopefully that won't be disrupted.

To be honest i doubt Ange is the kind of person who sends coded messages in press conferences. He'll have told them to their faces and was probably just answering the question.

I think with 5 subs we are going to see half the team swapped out earlier in games when everyone is up to the same standard in the squad. So plenty of game time to go round.

I think this January will be even more important to make early signings as we will have to find cover for Son, Bissouma and Sarr.

Granted Bentancur is coming back and we have Hojbjerg and Skipp as options but it's possible Hojbjerg will be leaving and I don't know how our team reacts without Son for so long

First thing I've heard Ange say that I'm not so convinced about

In summary, he says that he knew Son could replace Kane and didn't bother buying another striker in the summer. However we know he played Son at LW and Richarlison as CF for several games until it was clear it wasn't working with Richarlison and then switched them around. It's fine if he's saying he knew he had 2 strikers of which one was Son but he makes it sound like it was always his plan to play Son....bit naughty ?

I'm pretty confident he saw Son working up front all along. It was probably more of Ange hoping/thinking Richy would work as a striker (he sort of did during the preseason), so he could use them both more naturally.
