Ok, here's our run for the rest of the calendar year...

Villa (H) - Destiny back, Biss-pended
CIty (A) - Biss back
West Ham (H) - Cuti back
Newcastle (H)
Forest (A) - Richy pain-free and back, maybe?
Everton (H)
Brighton (A)
Bournemouth (H)

Even with Cuti back, Davies/DIer aren't up to the task to start alongside him. They played well today but then they didn't and we conceded twice. Ange said he was playing all the ready centre backs he had so apparently doesn't think Phillips is there yet but he needs to be, frankly.

As for further forward, I have no idea. Bentancur needs to be starting as soon as he's up to it after the break and all we can do is hope that Maddison is back for AFCON and the Asian Cup (United away, January 14th), when we'll lose Pape, Biss and Sonny for at least 2 weeks (the duration of the group stages).

It's easy to be downbeat after the wonderful start we've had but at the moment I'm feeling like the next couple of months are going to be absolutely miserable.

Lolo and Gio need to be rotated in midfield. PEH can replace either Sarr or Biss if needed but it simply doesn't work with a midfield 3 of them all. Hardly something we needed to witness the Wolves game to find out but find out we did.

As for the defence, someone with pace in it would really help it stick, but for today I can't say it was the reason we lost. The entire backline and midfield (especially midfield) balance was off.

its all over. we won't make top 6 and would have the worst result after the greatest start. spursy won't ever leave
It’s true that we could be on a 4 game loosing run but after Romero and Udogie get back I think we can get through to Jan. Just need to recruit well and Ange needs to be braver with his team selections in midfield.

I think getting a decent defender shouldn’t be too hard. Kelly alone say would be a huge improvement over the likes of Dier/Davies in regards to suitability for the system. But if Ange isn’t going to play Gio then we will need another AM and that I could see us struggling to find.

Totally unenthused to watch our next few fixtures now.

Christ almighty Spurs. Way to ruin a vibe.

That was the bad old days of the last four years today

Are we ever going to decide or is this all season? Just do top 4 and have done with it

Little bump in the road and loads of people wailing, saying it's the end of the world, season over, blah blah. Fuck sake, put your big boy pants on, hold your head up high and just enjoy the ride. There will be highs and there will be lows. Change doesn't happen overnight.

We'll beat Villa.

Crowd has to do its job again, do that and we'll win.

Cant stress how important that is.

Fuck tbe negativity, we took Chelsea on with nine men....we can beat Villa with eleven if we make it a cauldron.

Get on the drink early that Sunday!

I would say City, Liverpool and Arsenal will be top 3. Then it’s us, Villa and Newcastle for the next 3 places
dont see anyone else getting in there.
simple really…just finish above those 2, or if we are lucky and get an extra champ lge place it’s just the one.
Newcastle currently blitzed with injuries and another one tonight .They had a 17 yr old in centre mid.
We need to get something off the Villa game, City….hope for the best.
By then we are just short of Micky and Maddison. Just have to carry Eric or Ben Till Jan.
Cant help thinking that Romero has really let us down with that stupid tackle. Prob got points from last 2 games with him there.

We always said keep up barely any injuries and we could be in a title race or decent top 4 chance, with injuries to key players then I think it now becomes a race from 4th-7th.

January will also still be very key 🔑

Like your positivity mate certainly possible to beat them at home even with a weakened team, they lost away to Forest recently, they’re a lot stronger at home than away, that being said Watkins, Diaby etc against Dier & Davies is scary.

Saw this and ...yeah.

The reality is it doesn't matter where Spurs finish, really, as long as they continue to develop in the manner they have done, trust their process, & work within the initial framework they set out which *WILL* result in long-term success..

4th or 8th. The process is the process

That is crazy talk. With the start we have had, at least one good result in every three games will keep us in touch with the top four for enough weeks to start getting some players back. It's what we do after that which will determine it.

Costly last 5 minutes. Wins for Woolwich, United, and Brighton, Villa , Liverpool all winning. Hopefully City thrash Chelsea to take away the smug looks from Jennings and Cundy if nothing else.

Could almost guarantee Newcastle will have a near full strength team back when we play them. We aren't allowed good things like evening of the playing field.

Let’s not get our expectations for January too high. Levy won’t back Ange and the best we can expect is a low cost back up centre back.
