Have we made significant progress? It feels like we’re seeing the same Spurs - dominating games, gifting goals to opposition and struggling to pick apart teams who defend deep.

I like Ange but this habit of throwing away leads is alarming.
What's the obsession with winning every game, especially when we're not City with endless resources?
It's disheartening to see that, after each loss, there's a rush to criticize Ange.

That's not what being a Spurs fan is all about!

We should be relishing the journey, enjoying the progress, and appreciating the unique path Ange is steering us on.

Spurs is more than just a scoreboard; it's about unity, camaraderie, and a distinct identity. Let's refocus on that and leave the knee-jerk criticisms behind! 🔵⚪️

When you control possesion the way we did tonight it's not a tactical problem.

Our players aren't as good as a lot make out on here.

Bowen and Kudos both get in our team. That says it all.
This is what I was saying in the match thread, when referring to Conte. Nothing about tactics or style, but the players, the actual team.

These last few games it's still been the likes of Davies, Hojbjerg, Skipp... plus players that even Conte didn't rate, like Lo Celso, Gil, Richarlison. Without the genuinely much better players that we had in those first 10 games, even Bissouma, Kulusevski and Son have gone back to last season's form. And we don't have the world's best striker to cover the cracks anymore.

These are the players Conte said didn't want to play under pressure. And since Chelsea he's been pretty much proven right. Only instead of being shite in a low block, they're shite in a high line. And mostly because... they're just shite.

LOL! Sorry what. ‘The same Spurs’ ‘Have we made progress’ tell me you’re not serious! When did we ever dominate a game in the last 4 years under the last 3 managers! We could barely string 3 passes together ffs.

Ridiculous comments.

Yeah, certainly not gonna get on Ange now, seems ludicrous to do so. Although that also doesn't mean we can't constructively criticise anything seen tonight. I'm just certainly not going to be 'worried about Ange' at such a stage.

Agree about his comments on lack of conviction. Johnson and Kulusevski were so poor for this tonight.

People just have no patience also. We're still a work in progress.

I'd say that's the worst we've played all season. Plenty of the ball but West Ham let us have it. Was always going to be their tactic just like when they thrashed Brighton.

Most dissapointing thing for me is the constant giving away of cheap goals. We are literally beating ourselves. Really needs to find an answer to that.

Feel Ange will be pretty disappointed with that tonight.
A lot of the first time passing seemed for the sake of it with no real purpose or idea of where to go next. At best it was changing the angle and at worst it was just slowing us down and congesting things.

With the low narrow block we really needed to move it even quicker and make more dynamic third man runs to pull them out of shape, but it was all a bit pedestrian and not what we have seen against similar tactics previously.

Yes we created lots of space early but then too many touches and overthinking started to creep in.

Hope Ange can re-instil the message and fast.

Ange doing the best with the bunch he’s got available. Even some of the best XI still need an upgrade. Both wingers for a start and a proper striker.

I mean in the last few years when we threw away leads it was mainly through sitting back after scoring and inviting pressure. It was a waste of having Kane and Son in the team to play on the counter.

These leads we're giving up now (besides the Wolves game where we didn't create another good chance at 1-0) came against the run of play. We're not reacting well but the conceding of an equaliser feels a shock rather than deserved.

My bigger concern is when the scores are level we aren't looking like we have another gear to go into. There's no added urgency or a jolt to get a move on. I think Maddison is a huge loss because even minus his goals and assists, he plays quickly and direct.

The last few games have shown how badly we need better forwards.
Which Ange sorta said in pre match presser...well, he was clear the front third needed to improve.

I've been saying on here many times...We have great players Vic through to AM (1st teamers)...but the forwards are a weak area...and 47 mill for Johnson looks like a bit much.

Johnson was his top target by most accounts. While he very well may turn into a good player, the balance doesn’t look right up there at the moment.

What players would people like him to send on? Sincere question.

The team’s going to be fine. We go again. Did people think losing maybe our best ever player would be easy?

Maybe dominating games was a stretch haha. I’m perhaps mixing the end of the Poch era when we did consistently seem to drop points from winning positions.

I just think it’s too early to definitively say this is an improvement. It’s better to watch 100% but the game is about glory as we all know and some of the recent results haven’t been good enough.

I’m just commenting on what I see - I am patient, fully behind the manager etc.

We'll have more results like that one tonight throughout the rest of the season.

Gonna be a rough Christmas. All part of a new manager coming in.
