He's played 1,068 minutes for us, so just under 12 full matches worth of minutes.Anyone know his goals per minute for us this season compared to last season.
A quick Wiki search suggests he score 1 in 4 last season and 1 in 6 this season but I'm pretty sure he has come on as a sub or been subbed more for us.
Ignoring what he did last season I think that's a pretty decent return. He's played 1,068 minutes for us, so just under 12 full matches worth of minutes.
3 goals and 4 assists.
He was abysmal today. Until he got on the end of Sonny’s cross in the last minute & became a hero.
1 goal every 367 mins last year and 1 goal every 356 mins for us this year.Anyone know his goals per minute for us this season compared to last season.

Nobody knows what would have transpired if Kulu had stayed on. Although I accept that he had just begun to be unplayable for their defence there are no guarantees. Seven days ago he showed poor judgement and passed up the opportunity to run the ball to the corner and retain possession, ultimately this led to him giving away a stupid free kick which cost us two points in stoppage time, today he made way for Brennan who scored and gained us two points in stoppage time.Delighted for him to score such a big goal. Thought it was an extremely strange decision by Ange to take Kulusevski off as he was dictating the game and Brighton couldn't handle him at all. Bringing Johnson on against tiring legs is generally a good thing but after Deki went off we completely lost any semblance of control. There's no denying Johnson was extremely poor apart from his goal, he gives the ball away so easily and can be a non entity in physical challenges, but he won us the game with a great arrive and finish. Hopefully he can find some confidence from this and offer more in general play than what he is currently.
This is a good point. I'm sure it's happened but I'm struggling to think of many occasions where Deki is sliding in at the far post but Johnson has done that twice in three games and it's clear from what he's said that we are working on that in training.Very happy he scored, and fair play to Ange as I don’t see Kulu being at the back post to score that.
Still offers more than Kulu for meHe knows he’s not playing well, but he still gets into positions to create and score chances. Always the sign of a good playrr

I can see why some may think he's not trying as when a full back runs past him he does the bare minimum to track them. (and often less) you say about busting a gut to get to that back post, i'd like to see the same gut busting to get back when Porro is left 2 Vs 1...I don't know what more he can do for some of our fanbase to see something in him? He seems to contribute with a goal or an assist even when he isn't full of confidence. Saw someone in the match thread say it was like he wasn't even trying.. I'm sorry.. what in the actual fuck is that take? If he wasn't trying he wouldn't be busting a gut to get in at the back post to score the winner open goal or not. He still had to finish it. You just know if the keeper saved it or he missed in some way the same "fans" would be laughing their asses off being "right".
