30 to 40 short I think, could do with a couple tonight.
I think he got caught between 2 stools, trying to protect his partner. Maybe left 15/20 runs out there but we will never know. 190 is not going to be easy and it’s game on for meI really don’t understand what the game plan is here. I don’t imagine Foakes went against Stokes/McCullum by refusing singles and not going for boundaries…so then what is the point in wasting time, not moving the scoreboard and giving India a night’s sleep and more favourable conditions to bat in??
My favourite player from the 2005 Ashes team was Geraint Jones. Weird choice as there was so many players to like. Think he’s the only one who comes close to Foakes in terms of keeping. His reflexes were insane. Saying that, Chris Read was out of this world and very unlucky to not get into the England side on a more regular basis.
Yes! Unbelievable keeper. Probably the best before Foakes popped up.James Foster was a brilliant keeper too.

I don’t feel we’ve thrown it away. India’s spinners have bowled how they haven’t done so far. There’s a reason they don’t lose at home and we’ve just seen why! This is still a challenging 4th innings total on a turner. Very much still in this for me.Not for the first time in this series, it looks like England have thrown this game away. Hopefully the pitch is as bad as it looks…otherwise serious questions need to be asked. The middle order have been pretty woeful in this series.
Yeah, early wickets and the pressure is right back on them.I don’t feel we’ve thrown it away. India’s spinners have bowled how they haven’t done so far. I don’t really blame the batters given the conditions they’re batting in. I’m more disappointed with the way we let India off the hook at 177-7. It’s hard to believe we can restrict India to chasing down 190 when we never seem to be able to clean up a tail.I don’t feel we’ve thrown it away. 4th innings pressure does strange things, there’s a reason they say anything above 150 and you have a sniff. If we get Jaiswal the rest haven’t looked particularly solidI don’t really blame the batters given the conditions they’re batting in. Yeah, Jimmy should be having a twirl with the new ballIm completely baffled by what Stokes is doing.
Absolutely. Hartley is just chucking constant pies as well. No idea how he’s been afforded a third over.Yeah, Jimmy should be having a twirl with the new ball
think you have to wait for the shine to come off the ball and then see tbhSigh. India making it look like a different surface altogether. Such a poor collapse.
He’s shiteHe's a decent enough commentator, take no notice of it.
Had he not bust his arm he'd have played a lot more for England, but it let Stewart back in the test side! Plus, he was a little... Gobby! I'm not sure that did him any favours despite being one of the best gloveman of the time!Yes! Unbelievable keeper. Probably the best before Foakes popped up.
