The losses come from the Stadium and other infra projects connected to it and the club, which don't come into FFP calculations.
The latest I've seen on this since the 22/23 accounts were released is below, basically if we get CL this season we have nearly £650m of FFP headroom this summer...
The easiest way to think of it is that each player we have has a cost on our club accounts.
If we buy a player for £50m on a 5 year deal then each year we own him he depreciates by £10m. So start of Season 1 his on the books cost is £50m, start of season 2 his cost is £40m and so on until the...
That's good, undervaluing us would do us a lot of damage.
But also he's a business man first and foremost - this is/was a detriment to us when he gets/got involved in footballing matters, but there's no-one else I'd want running the business side of the club apart from Levy right now.
Agreed, but with European football next season there will be chances for them. We need more midfielders in this summer with PEH off, Skipp looking like no a major part of Anges plans and questions over Bissouma consistency.
Have you seen the prices of hotels in central London lately? You’d be lucky to find anything half decent for less than £200 per night and that’s assuming there’s not a major sporting or other event on.
I imagine the club will be sensible enough to create some “football packages” - I.e. tickets...
Yeh agreed. Basically the cash for the infrastructure from an investor means that the club can continue to spend its own existing revenue streams on players without having to dip into that pot of cash to fund the infrastructure. Also it sounds lot more fiscally responsible and attractive to...
Capital projects, like a hotel, become massive revenue streams for the club, yet don’t count against us when it comes to FFP / PSR.
In order to continue to be amongst the top clubs in the world and have continued stability we should be creating as many revenue generating capital assets as...
The hotel for one, due to be 30 stories and up and running well before the 2026 WC.
There’s also the new women’s training facilities.
Both of those two are large capital investments.
Hopefully what this means is that we are seeking outside investment to provide cash injection to support the...
LOL.
Bellingham is the best player in the world right now in his position and there's a good argument to make about Rice, albeit maybe he's more like top 5.
Between the remaining options of: Gallagher, Maddison, Mainoo and TAA there's enough quality and versatility of playing positions for...
I've been on a version of this and it is very good. To be fair pretty much everything tour wise at the stadium is a cut above any other stadium tour in the UK.
Maybe, maybe not, I don’t think we know that definitely yet. But if that is the case then he’ll need to adapt as it’s not a sustainable method in the PL.
