I really don't understand all the hate for CE. It's like people want someone to blame for everything. He is certainly not playing his best football, but I don't see him not trying. The thing is the whole team is playing worse, and CE (like his teammates) needs a working team to perform at his...
Reading recent posts here, it almost feels like CE is an ungrateful, disloyal, prima donna and allround greedy asshole. All based on... speculations and no facts. Trump era is upon us. Awesome times :P
I think it looks more and more likely he signs a new contract with a release clause that makes him available in future windows for interested clubs at a "fair" price. And the reason there is no signed contract yet is probably Levy wants release at 100m+ and CE/agent wants release at 50m :P
Most danish players are far from £15M, especially the ones from the "superliga". Andreas Skov will go for max of 50million dkr (~€7 mill). The club just rejected a €4 mill bid for him.
He said he would like to try something else (Another country, another culture - on an even higher level), but he also implied if it doesn't happen, Tottenham is a good place to be.
According to a danish expert in spanish football, Zidane is not interested in Eriksen.. it's the chairman (?). So...
Really? The players who are not following Huddersfield to the championship are left out. I can understand that decision.. playing with the players whom they will be using next season, but I doubt Billing or Zanka (jørgensen) for that matter are refusing to play. They probably just said they...
Actually, although formation is often listed as the standard 4-3-3, it's more of a 4-2-3-1 with Beek in 10 role and Schöne+De Jong as holding midfielders. Besides those stats are not great considering Ajax dominance in eredivisie.
Actually if there is one place where the Danish team has an abundance it's on the CB position. Has been so for a long time. So you shouldn't judge a player's potential or quality strictly from the lack of games for Denmark.
My point was Ajax were always gonna sell. Of course they want to cash in, but they also know their players move on. Ajax is a stepping stone. I have no problem with clubs cashing in, but there is a much bigger risk of Levy outpricing a dreammove, than Ajax doing it.
And I have no issue with...
I agree, he is not peaking form-wise atm, but same goes for the team in general and many of the other important players around him. He needs his teammates to perform, just as they need him to perform. It's been a long season, limited squad and who knows what stuff they deal with off the pitch...
