    I see Lo Celso as an alternative to Maddison, I feel we need a hybrid CM as well, one that can unpick a defence but also put their foot in.

    Exactly, I’m glad he has recovered and I’m glad he’s playing again but if he came back and disappointed (like his last couple of seasons) I wouldn’t want the good memories tarnished further. We have a world class manager with a system, let’s acquire the players who will flourish in it.

    Just a thought, but he knows Conte and his system, perhaps Conte wants the new additions that don’t know his system in for the start of the pre-season, therefore he can have his holiday…

    Personally I think that if Trix is right and the next 4 months is one big pre-season, we’ve done good business this window. We’ve cleared deadwood, we’ve strengthened without going mad on fees and wages and with the amount of players out of contract in the summer, given ourselves the opportunity...

    Romero and Dier won’t sort this out on their own, experienced and quality centre back may give us the leadership we need, then add a quality, ball playing CM, we may look like a team that can defend and create chances.

    We need a ‘baller’ in the midfield, but we also need 2 quality centre backs who are strong and confident when they get the ball. Dier is not my favourite or anyone else’s but he tried to push us forward, if Moura could control a ball or press, maybe we could be in a different position?

    Moura looks like he doesn’t want to play in the system, so get him off. Winks, not good enough, get him off. Whole team needs to step up 5 yards, if you employ someone like Conte, you do what he says.

    Yes I agree, we are in transition, my point is that reading the majority of the posts, others don’t. I feel we need some experience in the team/squad and also some players that have the winning mentality we have missed for too long.
