Much like Son I doubt Richy is interested in going to Saudi, especially given how unhappy a lot of the big signings have been this past year. The only person who seems happy there is CRonaldo and that's because they're giving him masses of extra leeway.
IMO it's easier to believe that there's a deeper problem than every analyst & coach at the club not being acutely aware that there are issues with us conceding set pieces.
What if he is doing things in training and they're just shitting the bed on the pitch? That would point to there being problems other than set piece training, no?
I can 100% see him wimping out of looking at it so he doesn't have to rule out their goal and give us a Pen instead, even if that would be the correct call.
I'm worried that all the unpunished physical abuse he took at the start of the season has got him hesitating, when was the last time you can remember him trying to carry the ball & break the lines? Or even have a pop from range?
He's been massively off the pace since he came back, the amount he has been slowing down play by holding onto the ball for too long hurts the team massively.
Same as the CL - one big "league" where every team plays 8 games. Top 8 get a bye, next 16 play-off to see who plays them, regular knockout format from then.
Out of everyone I think you could forgive Son for just plain being a bit knackered at this point. Games for us + The Asian Cup all the way to the final + flying back for even more Internationals is a lot of not just matches but also air miles to have put on this season. If Richy wasn't injured I...
Nah they were all over us everywhere for long periods of the match, only really dropping off later in the halves to conserve energy. Set out to chase down & harass from the first minute and it worked a treat, we totally failed to find any rhythm or patterns of play. Even when they did sit back...
Absolutely no press resistance offered by any of the players who are supposed to be good at it and once the team got rattled they all folded like wet cardboard. Really poor showing in leadership on and off the pitch today, feel like Ange gave up on them after that 3rd goal and the subs weren't...
Yeah that's what I think more likely, especially given how physical his game is overall. There was a point mid-season when he had run the furthest of any player in the PL and he's only had a few days out at most since.
Peak to peak (ooer) Dier is easily the more complete player, but his peak was much shorter than Daws' which makes it a lot closer in terms of career. I think Dier still takes it, but it's weird comparing the two when in my head Dier is still that kid playing makeshift rb with a bottle brush...
