    Manager watch: Jose Mourinho

Elite mentality right there. Our players seem too keen to sulk and feel sorry for themselves. Hopefully Mourinho will drill this into them.

    Manager watch: Jose Mourinho

Do love the insight we get from Mourinho's pressers. The stuff on CM especially was very good. “I knew that [Tanguy] Ndombele not in the best condition. [Oliver] Skipp, not for a game of that dimension immediately, Eric Dier had played three matches in a row and I felt that Lucas Moura in that...

Dan KP was bang on in the summer so this is a worry. I can't see how the season would be anything but a write off if we did nothing in January. Maybe we could fluke a FA Cup but I can't see how we can solve our issues at DM or RB without signings. Unless Skipp and Foyth become overnight...

Player Watch Player Watch: Moussa Sissoko

The improvement in him has been staggering and I'll be forever grateful for how he kept last season together for us. However I must admit I agree with others in that he'll never quite be the right player for a side with our aspirations. He's a square peg in a world of round holes unfortunately.

    Club Statement - Pochettino leaves

Not sure about that to be honest, Poch inherited some good players. Plus I doubt they are going to have a Harry Kane breaking through at the same time. Poch inherited Lloris, Eriksen, Dembele, Vertonghen, Lamela, Kane, Walker, Rose, and Dier had just signed too. Granted he improved the last 4...

    Club Statement - Pochettino leaves

Fair play to Everton for shooting their shot. Would be pretty interesting actually. They aren't afraid to spend money but the base squad is miles behind the one he had with us. Surely he's after bigger roles but the romance of Everton does suit his personality. They have a lot in common with...

    Player Watch: Giovani Lo Celso

Jose even said this after Olympiakos, and said he likes Ndombele and GLC. I think everyone is getting ahead of themselves on this currently. I expect a few changes on Saturday after the shambles in midweek, we may well see Lo Celso play. Either way he'll get some decent game time in the next...

    Team v Burnley

Can see Jose being ruthless for this one. Wouldn't surprise me if Sissoko, Aurier and Sanchez get the bullet for their errors in the goals in midweek. I also suspect Moura could get the hook also. I suspect we'll see something along the lines of (not saying I'd go for this): Gazza; KWP/Foyth...

    Manager watch: Jose Mourinho

I don't think we are far from a very good squad to be honest, certainly a top 4 competing one. The issue is it will hinge on what Levy can achieve in the transfer market in the next two windows. We've scored 11 goals in the 4 games Jose has been here, you don't do that with average forwards...

    Manager watch: Jose Mourinho

Burnley game will be telling. My biggest issue this season has been our inability to bounce back from shocking performances like last night. That horror show at Brighton after being hammered by Bayern was when I knew the Poch era was over. Then after that more dross against Watford and Everton...

    Manager watch: Jose Mourinho

It's a good article but I feel it's one that's been sitting in the drafts folder since Poch was sacked. The club have moved on, we need to too. Poch was far from the only problem at the club but he contributed to our downfall. I was as disappointed last night as everyone else and do blame...

    Manager watch: Jose Mourinho

Yeah I was very disappointed in how we set up, was expecting Jose to change things up for top 6 away. Just writing it off to him trying to keep changes to a minimum until he gets more time on the training ground.

    Manager watch: Jose Mourinho

For me the issues we have currently are mental and physical (we seem so unfit this season) more than ability. We lost that game as soon as that penalty went in last night. Sucked the life out of the team just when you thought we had gained a foothold after a now trademark slow start. I'm sure...

    Manager watch: Jose Mourinho

I suspect he's not convinced this squad can currently put in those kind of disciplined displays until he gets more time on the training ground with them. So it's more just trying to iterate on Poch right now, and thus far the improved attacking had been getting us results. I'd have happily seen...

    Manager watch: Jose Mourinho

Utd had that Mourinho big game DNA tonight, he basically alluded to it in his presser. He hasn't had a chance to stamp that mentality on us yet. We saw the same mental issues today that we had before. Switching off at the wrong times to concede soft goals and hand the initiative to the other...
