I turned it on just before the second goal. The commentary made the first sound like a complete howler and palace were unlucky to be behind. Yeah it was really poor defending but only through hard work from Johnson. He earned that goal, it wasn't given to us.
Sure they'll try and force him out but not sure he'll accept a significant drop in wages. I guess it's possible if they pay him the majority of the transfer fee.
I'm not going to get too upset about Nusa because I know little about him. What I did like about this is it appeared to be succession planning for Son which we haven't always done well. Will be interesting to see who our next target is.
I've no doubt they are scouting/monitoring him. I was just questioning the statement that every elite club wants him. At this stage it appears none have decided to make an approach for him.
Do they really? Why has no one bid(as far as I am aware)? I know there's a shortage of cash currently in Europe but they would find a way (they always do) of they believed his floor was CL and ceiling generational.
He's definitely here to compete with Romero and not as backup. With Romero's reliability, he absolutely can take the spot from him. Hopefully the competition will bring the best out of Romero.
If Ange and Lange think he's the player to complete our squad, then I could reluctantly accept but I don't believe he is and I'd be surprised if they did too. The noise appears to be coming from Chelsea's side on this. I think we'd be buying him because he's available, home grown and he's more...
We can sign someone else. It's not like he's the only option or a special player that we'd struggle to sign otherwise. Helping Chelsea out of a massive whole is also not good for spurs even putting rivalries aside.
