Someone give a quick brief on what this plane business is about? I've been away for the past hour.

Lots of middle aged men have had too much cherryade and are following a random plane on some sort of tracker whilst giggling like schoolgirls. I think the plane in question was chosen because it is flying out of Italy

I've let myself get so carried away now that I will be fucking devastated if we don't get this over the line.

Please please please, football gods let us have this one for once. You took the CL final away from us, please.

HaHaHaHaHa...are you going to mow the lawns today she asks.

Might push my luck and ask her to make me a fat bacon and mushroom sarnie with a coffee...and then break the news to her gently. :coffee::sneaky: (y)

"The lawns" ?

Get one of the servants to do it.

Do we have a man on the ground at Biggins Hill??!?!?!

Anyone at Dover with a pair of binoculars??? You might be able to see his arm tattoo if he is using an arm rest and has his window cover up.

Trying not to get carried away. Every time I think of him in our team I get goosebumps, this will go down as one of the great days in our history if we get both him & Lo Celso over the line.

"The club have agreed personal terms with Dybala with the Argentinian set to be on a basic £350,000-a-week but the image rights and agents fees are a real sticking point. "

I don't think there is any question of Star Image selling the image rights. The problem here is that we have to come to a separate agreement with them as to what we pay them for any use of Dybala's image while he is a Tottenham player. The fact that they are currently suing Dybala for breach of contract and the fact that image rights law seems to be very different in the UK means this really is a right old mess to unravel in the next few hours. Star Image are arguing that Dybala is in breach of contract as they agreed a deal a few years ago which saw them keep the rights for 10 years which he has since allegedly broken. The 40 million being mentioned is not to purchase the rights, but the amount Star Image are suing for because they haven't been paid what they think they should have recieved in the past. Buying Dybala right now means becoming embroiled in what will be an ongoing legal dispute and having to make a deal with a company who may anyway lose their claim to the rights in the dispute

That sounds like a read fucker to sort out. Let's hope the media are well behind on how far down the track we are.

Maybe we are asking Juventus or Dybala to indemnify us against the legal dispute? That could be easier to negotiate with Juve than dealing with the actual rights company

Has gotten to this stage for me now too. Normally I'd just be expecting this to fall through so wouldn't be overly disappointing but with how close it seems and all the talk around it, it will feel shit if it doesn't happen now!

Thanks for this - really informative.
As a side note, I'm currently working on a contract between the UK and The Netherlands. It's exceptionally complex and the sums involved are at a fraction of these football deals. And yet it's incredibly complex due to differences in Dutch, UK and EU law with issues such as insurance, liability and legal conformity need to be conceded to form an agreement.

Hoping Levy can champion all his skills to get this done. COYS.
