Serie A is a strange league, top italian clubs deal with one another all the time

It happens quite often everywhere in mainland Europe tbh, Bayern and Dortmund do business very often, PSG don't really have any competition, all of the top 7 in Italy do business regularly, Barca and Atletico, and real and Atletico do a bit of business, it's only top clubs in England, and Barca/real that don't do it often.

the athletic.

It's an interesting one. I'll preface this by saying that my hope and dreams for this deal are almost all well and truly dashed, *but,* couldn't we rig the system by paying a huge loan fee and deduct it from future payments, like Lo Celso? That way Juve get cash now for players and we get Dybala.

I know, dreamland stuff, but I need to try and cling on to that 1% of hope.

When BBC tweeted it was close this morning I truly let myself believe it was happening. Until JJ says it’s not, or the window shuts, then there’s still a chance.

Fingers crossed - we have been through so much sh1t as a fanbase over the years, we deserve this to happen.

The whole situation with his image rights sounds a complete mess. Wouldn't be surprised if it is one of the factors in Juve wanting to shift him on

I am absolutely gutted... BUT... Paulo Dybala was up for joining Spurs! I mean let that sink in! Alright, the complexity of the image rights etc scuppered it happening, but when was the last time one of the world's most highly rated young players decided that Spurs were where things were happening? Well, actually when Ndombele joined a few weeks ago! We are naturally bloody disappointed right now but we have obliterated our transfer record (presumably twice) this window and there is no question that Tottenham as a club - that would be Tottenham of the world's best stadium, CL finalists, with one of the best managers in the world - have now turned a massive corner. We are now playing with the big boys.

Good to hear we're possibly still working on it down to the wire - surely too late now though?

Just out of interest if there is a loan deal with option to buy can that option be taken up at any point through the season? As I understand it Betis took up the option on Lo Celso in April before the window opened but I don't know if their season had finished.
