Rose was an athletic player but his technique and positional sense are at best average. This is why once he loses a little bit of speed his flaws are for all to see; similar kind of player to Owen. He is someone we need to move on; for both his sake and ours. For us it's obvious why. For him I think he knows that he couldn't play for a big 6 club.

I fancy we'll end up with wingbacks a lot in future. Sess and Sissoko first choice, Rose and KWP (I think Aureier will go in Jan) second. They're all better going forward than defending. Davies for me is the better defensive fullback if we go 4 at the back but could also cover as a left centre back.

reckon if leeds come in for rose he will go
That would be good. I like him as a player barring final ball crossing, and on his day he's the most tenacious fullback our there and I've loved watching him improve to England international at Spurs. But time to go.

A quick search suggests Rose gets around £65k a week, Leeds' highest salary is around £30k. You would have to imagine bonuses at us would be much higher as well.

So either Leeds go all out or Rose takes a huge paycut.

No chance. He's looking for one last big contract, why would he go and play in the Championship? Doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

When he talked about "playing in the north" it's almost certainly because there was interest from Man Utd and City at the time. The trouble is he's declined so much since then that I doubt either of them would take him now. He'll end up at one of the mid-table/bottom half clubs who have a bit of money behind them IMO.

He was never a great crosser but now he can't accelerate away. This is why he has one thought which is to draw enough contact to go down instantly.

Cost us about 4/5 goals already this season. His decline has been worse than anyone else. Sessegnon isn't great defensively but at least he's young and will improve - get him in imo.

Stealing a living, but as long as he tells it like it is, right?

He is a walking fucking soundbite and nothing more now.

Food for thought , who is regarded the better full back by professionals, Trips or Rose. Trips gets himself a move to a pretty big club in Atletico with one of the longest serving managers in Europe, Rose has the whole summer off and can't find a club that wants him.

i think he just needs a fresh challenge in the same way trippier's move seemed to motivate him. been at spurs too long with no one to callenge his attacking fullback role. couldn't get in the team when the technically better ekotto was in his prime. not amazing but good if teams play to his strengths. would look great for a counter attacking team if he had the license to get forward and not have to worry to much about getting back.

He's lost that combatitive edge he had a few seasons ago that helped make him one of the best LBs in the league.

He's far too calm and relaxed nowadays, before, at his best, he was the kind of person who could start a fight in an empty room, he would wind up opposition players and fans and it gave a edge to his game that is no longer there.

Spends more time on the floor than on his feet thesedays. How he's starting ahead of Davies recently is genuinely insane
