He doesn’t command respect anymore imho. Miserable dinosaur.

That was my thought too, but this makes for a slightly different slant. Sounds like a man who also thinks he may be getting left behind, and wants to refresh. New assistant coaching staff, and new ideas. Someone with Mourinho’s drive and winning mentality, but also now willing to adapt in order to stay current, could be ideal.
That said, I’d still prefer Allegri I think, just.
But I think Utd will go for Allegri before we do, and we’ll have the choice of Mourinho or a project option.
Could be that we buy someone out of their contract, but with two managers like Mourninho and Allegri readily available already, seems more likely we’d go for one of them.

Poch should sort this by taking a years job swap with Bielsa.

One year under El Loco should sort our players and a year in the championship should make MoPo be happy to work in the prem with this squad again

Marco Rose at Borussia Monchengladbach is someone i reckon the club have their eye on. They certainly should do anyway. Currently sitting top of the Bundesliga with his Gladbach side playing quick, attractive, pressing football. Hes young, tactically astute and very much fits the profile.

Heres two videos highlighting what he'd bring.

I guess my problem is that I'm not convinced this is true. I'm also a bit of a romantic so would prefer someone up and coming to continue the project. I do however, totally understand that some are sick and tired of being a project and just want to win a pot or two.
Could not agree more, we need to win a few trophies, and i don't care which ones...

In the last 38 pages, has anyone mentioned Simeone?
Of course, most would welcome him. But generally people assume he would struggle with Levy and he wouldn't leave until end of season, assuming he would even want to come to us.

The one thing I would say about Mourinho is the instant respect he'd command.

That in itself could get an extra ten percent from every player.

And I'd be willing to bet uber Kane would be back in a heartbeat. Bullying CBs, running down the channels chasing lost causes.

Alderweireld and Vertonghen commanding at the bank again.

A really good watch - thanks. Now that is how a diamond is supposed to work. With Eriksen being absent (injured or just not caring), you could even have Kane as the #10, with Moura and Son in front, as they suit the movement required by the strikers in this tactic. Then have Lo Celso and Ndombele behind and <someone> anchoring (clearly a problem position - need a fit/more mobile Dier or get another, e.g. Doucoure).

This formation does however require dynamic fullbacks.

Anybody that doesn’t play Stephen Clemence and Didier Zokora as our midfield 2 will do me

A new manager has to come with a director of football if you ask me. The next guy can’t have as much power as Poch has had.

You’ve just highlighted exactly what has gone wrong here. We need 2 x aggressive FBs and a world class DCM. £120M for the three. Sessegnon and KWP could be used this season to have a crack, who knows - with an extended run and the backing of the manager they might even flourish ... after all, isn’t Poch supposed to be a FB whisperer?

Literally won't make any difference who we get.

Spurs will never win another trophy again.

See, I think we will. The new stadium ensures we’re here to stay as a big club now. Liverpool and City won’t be this good for ever. The future is still bright for us.
