ENIC are not perfect but they can’t be blamed for our team being out-performed consistently by inferior opposition of late, that falls on Poch and the players.

You lot need to wake up. If we don’t sort this we could go down. No sentiment. Poch has to go. Not knee jerk. 40 + years of suffering.
I don't understand the complacency about relegation. If we literally continue on our current trajectory (that's been going on for 25 games!) we are going to be very far down there and it could get very nasty indeed. I absolutely would not rule us out of playing Championship football next season. Even if we did sack Poch like we eventually would, who would want to come in who's competent and would be able to guarantee us safety in such a short period of time?

If we are no further away from the drop this time next month i'll be very worried indeed.

I agree; next season if it goes on like this will see assets stripped. And going back to the days of Graham and Hoddle where we bought journeyman and over the hill players. We nearly had this season with AVB when we signed Dempsey and Siggy; but Bale saved us. Looking forward to getting the likes of relegated players from terrible teams and signing Lallana on a free.

Then that stadium on those prices is not getting full.

This is on Poch the results - he has got decent tools

@Hercules have you spent today in the boozer by any chance? Your post feels very emotional to me and kind of different to things that you've said in the past.

Thats said, I've spent today in the pub... So who am I to judge what you mean!

I am sharing my heart that bleeds for this club. They don’t give a toss like we do. I wouldn’t call it ITK. I call it my well founded emotional and passionate opinion.

Not just emotion and opinion - there evidence is there to see

When Klopp showed he had what it took, he was backed with world class players (many over +30M buys) - Poch, not so much

More damning is that we've won one major trophy in the near two decades of ENIC ownership

They've done many good things for the club, but they are a property management firm, first and foremost, who care more about the appreciation of the asset (the club, and the land around the club where they've been buying and developing property) than they do about the football operations

Listen to head of biz dev, Aidan Mullally, for insight to the state of mind and priorities of management and the owners

"It is an NFL stadium and that’s the key message. From the very start during the design phase, we have had the NFL in mind. The anchor tenant is Tottenham Hotspur, but this is designed to be a permanent home for the NFL outside the US. The NFL has been involved in the design process from the get-go.”

Describing one of the oldest and, to this day ,one of the most successful English teams as an "Anchor tenant" says everything you need to know

Exploiting fans loyalty to subsidise an obsession with the US market so they can make a 20X return on their initial investment shows you what contempt they have for the fans and football side of things

As long as ENIC is in charge - we will win nothing of note, and if we do, it'll be despite them

I'm sorry but I can't believe that Levy has built us up so far, only to be happy to watch us fall.
It goes against everything he has said and done.
I agree, he's made plenty of mistakes along the way but for us to get so close to making the big time, for him just to say "fuck it", doesn't make any sense to me.

Should have.

Would have.

have.

If what you say is true then why did ENIC spend over £100m last summer?
Unless I’m missing the bonhomie of mates’ humour- which is completely possible- I’m struggling with the idea of taking the piss out of someone’s grammar usage who’s crestfallen at the moment

I'm ENIC out if Poch is still here for West Ham. But you are right, there is a world class squad for him to work with - unsettled or not. DL may not have got the outs that Poch wanted but he still brought in three big money signings.

And it's the job of the coach to cultivate a team spirit and manage the professional situations of the players. He hasn't done that.

I don't think he's said fuck it, just that those finals steps are inherently the most risky and he is extremely risk averse so I think he's been consistent all the way. Which as a fan who is desperate for their team to succeed is desperately disappointing. The only way we're going to succeed is if we find a formula which involves little risk but allows us to bridge over that final gap.

Maybe we will just have to have a champions league final run to have an additional 60-70 million every year which we didn't account for and therefore could spend :cautious: .

It's not a world class squad, feel like everybody overestimates our team on here.

Our fullbacks options are poor, our only hope on that front is the 2/3 we haven't given enough of an opportunity to know what they're capable off in Foyth/Sessegnon and possible KWP.
Lloris has been steadily getting worse, he's not world class.
Our CB's have aggressively aged, Unless sacking Poch unlocks the curious case of benjamin button then I can't see how we improve that.
Our DM's are not even an iota of what they used to be.

We have some quality players in Ndombele, Lo Celso, Kane, Son and then a few the tier below in Dele, Lamela with some showing signs of potential in Sanchez but we do not have a world class squad by any stretch of the imagination.

Although we still should be doing better than what we are.

Injuries aside, why is it that other clubs buy players and use them immediately? Why is it that other clubs’ players can play with a level of intensity and pace that we can only dream of, and yet we’re supposed to believe our manager demands too much? I see nothing at Spurs other than a demoralised group playing without any sense of direction. Forget ENIC, this is all about Poch.

I don’t think you can or should half ass a rebuild. As it stands I don’t see the results or style of play getting better so I hope he continues with dropping the want away players.

I'm struggling here to get this right here. If I want Levy/ENIC to leave or sell up, how do I go about it?

Do I call him all sorts of ****s and bastards and tell him to fuck off out of my club?
Or
Do I show some respect for his past achievements and say it in a way that conveys that?

From the Poch stuff I know which method is most popular but I'm hoping someone can help me out here and point me in the right direction..........

Physically, I am of a mature age and (some might say unusually for SC) my mental age (possibly) corresponds with that. Hope that helps.

Oh and to the BSoDL I'd just like to say, no, no, not the face.

PS: The grass isn't always greener, be careful what you wish for, don't want to do a Leeds and beware the bogeyman have all been considered and discarded............ I feel the grass is sometimes greener, wishing for better is OK, doing a 'Leeds' is not relevant any more and the bogeyman is actually quite a nice guy.

Anyway, I' m not sure which way to lean. Help meeeeeeeee

Of course Levy has his faults but how can people genuinely believe that he is to blame for our current position? He has built us a world class training centre, one of the best stadiums in the world and always provides funds for players. Have we wanted him to spend more? Of course, which team doesn’t want their owners to spend more money?! However even throughout the stadium build he has brought in players such as Son, Alderweireld, Lucas, Sissoko etc. These weren’t small purchases at the time. Then there was the window where we didn’t sign anyone....we had continuous itk that funds were available but Poch kept insisting that he was happy with the squad and couldn’t improve it. Then the first window after the stadium was complete Levy spent over 150 million. As I say Levy isn’t perfect but aside from being owned by a country or a Russian gangster who does a better job than him?! We are 14th!! Dropped points against Newcastle, Watford, Brighton, Sheffield Utd, Everton etc and not had one convincing performance in the league all season, this doesn’t even include the second half of last season. I’ve loved and respected Poch over the last five years but his time is up. This is on Poch not Levy!

Does not bode well. I cannot just sit back and enjoy this dross. ENIC is all about corporate, and less about the football. So much of the corporate suites empty, and much more. Poch should of left in the summer with how he felt, but he didn’t. I would of. Joe Lewis and Daniel Levy too friggin stubborn.

They rather puppets as managers who will play the violin they are given. We are more than likely to loose major, major assets in the summer. They will take in all the cash, and spend piss all in comparison. Our ‘almost there’ days will flicker into the corridors of time. Ten more years will pass with fak all to show for it, but a training complex and stadium.

sadly it is more reality than I can even fathom to have nightmares about. Poch’s fall was his moods and loosing the plot all over the place. Very difficult to get the players back on his side. I sense more backroom staff in important departments of the club will seek pastures new. The asset stripping will gleefully please ENIC, as this will of nullified the stadium debts.

so in conclusion we are damned. And I wish Poch could perform a Lazarus, and awaken us. I would be among the first to applaud him. But in all honesty it is beyond repair now. What a mess. And the ones I feel really sorry for is us tgr fans.

Agree. ENIC are not the owners to take us forward. Yes....built a great stadium but we are a business first. We have massive deficiencies in the squad. For example, I don't for one second believe Poch would have been happy going into this season with the fullback options we have.....a problem we've had for a couple of years now. On top of that he has to deal with certain players who want out. The main is not a miracle worker and for me ENIC have taken him for granted and honest opinion is I'm not convinced they would be all that fussed if he left as long as they got a payout for him and they'd go out and hire another manager who falls in line.

If Klopp was at us, I'm 99% sure he would have walked out on us.
