Gary Jacob from The Times said this in an article:

He wants at least three defenders, a holding midfielder and two attacking players, including a striker — and that is without the threat of Harry Kane and others leaving. The transfer budget and the type of player who may be willing to join is likely to be different if there is no Champions League football next season. At least Tottenham have been cautious financially and repaying the bank debt on the new £1 billion stadium does not rely on qualifying for the competition.

Also, his football is just mind-numbingly boring to watch these days. Like driving with the handbrake on.
Why on earth do people keep coming out with this line of joses football is boring to watch. Has no-one making these comments seen our football over the last few months?!

But if we sack our manager because of poor football, then surely the thing would be then to replace him with a manager which plays better football

We'd be sacking our manager for dreadful results and squad-wide terminal demotivation.

It's nothing to do with "good football" and "bad football".

I've no interest in "good football" which doesn't yield a win at the end of 90 minutes; there's no pride to be taken from being entertaining losers.

Its the wrong thread, but i'm pretty sure if we're sacking our manager, it'll be because of poor results, rather than football.

How about every one shut up about Mourinho in this thread.

But everyone get ready for the no UCL excuse as to why we can’t buy anyone. CL or not we shouldn’t have an issue recruiting young up and coming players to play in this stadium and with player like Kane, Son, Ndombele and Lo Celso.

I feel this may get lost. Poch knows what is necessary to move this team on. There will be funds so we may get this right over the next 18 months.

Only for them to take months to be introduced to the first team squad, it'll be worth the two year wait ...

Poch deserves 2 more transfer windows, give him quality players and we will push on
I disagree! You tend to believe as things stand we would not be in serious relegation trouble. I think if we pick up 1 point in the next 2 games he needs to be let go.

A lot on here already think that he should go now. But I just don't see Levy doing it. I also don't see Levy getting anyone other then Howe as anyone proven will demand a proper budget to buy players. Jose and Levy sound like a match made in Hell. We all know we need to invest, and not just in youth. If all we bring in are players like Max Aarons (who does look very promising) and a manager like Howe I just don't see Kane and Son sticking with us.

I agree on all your points. I so much want him to turn it around. And resist playing liabilities. I so much want him to turn it around! But if he doesn’t what choice do we have. I am not a Howe fan. But if a choice of the 2, prefer Maureen. I can’t see is getting the manager from Leipzig for various reasons, from what I have heard. Jose is not difficult to work with, as long as there is honesty. He would work with reduced budget, but on his terms. Him and DL would fall out if he starts farting around.

Of course nagelsmann would be a brilliant signing but regardless of him being happy to come to us in theory there is zero chance he would leave Lipzig after half a season. I agree that Jose would be preferable over Howe ?. But I'm not sure I would really want him. His track record with youth players and negative football makes me incredibly dubious. Aside from how he leaves the teams he manages. Intresting that he would be happy with a reduced budget. But the fact is, we need levy to pay up properly. Will Kane and Son stick around if we don't turn the team into one who can challenge within the next two seasons? Doubt it. Ugh, it's all so depressing.
