I really have to laugh at some of you morons, who the fuck do you think you are to question mourinho managing us, like we're some sort of godly side that is too good for him. We've just been dicked by half of the utter drivel in this league.

He's a huge statement for us and a fantastic appointment. As with any manager, he'll have my full support, that's because I support Tottenham Hotspur.

Can't stand the man. Spurs fan for 45 years and I've never been as disgusted with the club over how this has been handled. This could not be a worst fit.

1. Any youth players may as well go now. They'll get no chance here.
2. Turgid defensive football.
3. End of first summer transfer window there will be constant moans about how we have not supported him with 5 £80M buys.
4. Cue major sulk until December when we sack him.
I understand that you may not like Mourinho. But those arguments are just wrong.

1. Poch wasn't using academy players
2. We were not playing offensive football nor defensive football. We were playing shit football for at least a year now.
3. Poch was also moaning that "we need to act like a big club now". And we did that this summer.

I think Mourinho is an asshole. But he's our asshole now. I'm pretty excited what he can do here.

Some of you have a wee moral issue with hiring Mourinho.

Aww bless.

No wonder we've such a weak mentality running through the Club.

Winners fuck the prom Queen not wee nice guys in the corner.

Virtue signaling is the most important thing, didn't you know?

Ah, yes life lessons from Michael Bay. Fantastico. Why not just throw in a few Trump quotes too?

It’s not even a moral thing that he treats people like shit, although I find that kind of thing important, its that by doing the kind of reprehensible stuff he did to Carneiro or Luke Shaw he shot himself in the foot because it turned players against him too.

He's ruthless at times, yes. He's far from perfect but he's a serial winner.

Refreshed looking from a crucial break in football.

How people aren't excited by this is beyond me.

I think most of us are just gutted because we really wanted to win with Pochettino maybe it's more that with some people than thinking we would win with Pochettino but the heart wants what the heart wants. Maybe Mourinho is just our rebound coach so we'll have to go with him until our next true love comes along. It's going to be interesting to see the list of players Jose wants brought in and the players Levy actually brings in and the fall out from that, let's not be naive and think it won't happen.

As I said in the other thread last night, not who I wanted or what I would have done. But he's here now and lets hope he can prove me wrong and play some football that I will enjoy watching.

What I will say though is that there is a lot of wishful thinking and dubious statements being made at the moment..... Stuff like he'll be coming back motivated and refreshed, he'll have learnt new tricks, he'll change the way he operates, etc, etc. This was all said when he took the United job, and the guy even mentioned at the time about respecting Utd's traditions and way of operating (he's already done it today and got some hopes up, by mentioning the word academy....), and it lasted about 5 mins before he went back to the only way he's ever operated. It may well happen, no way of knowing yet, but these proclamations have got to be seriously questioned.

And as I also said last night not for the first time, I'm waiting and hoping for further announcements in the near future about other changes to the football management of the club. It shouldn't and cant be just the manager and chairman overseeing the whole thing. There have got to be other people put in place to run the football side of things - academy/youth, scouting networks and recruitment setup, medical and sports science, playing style and philosophies, developing our own coaches, etc - and ensure it is running smoothly and leave the chairman to manage the business, and manager to concentrate on the first team.

I, for one, welcome our new Portugese Overlord but I also suspect this this now a good time for us fans to crack each others heads open and feast on the goo inside... :cautious:

Really hope Jose can get Kane back to his best in a Spurs shirt , so far this season 11 games Harry has had 30 shots , ave. 2.7 per game, last season 28 games and 102 shots , ave. 3.6 per game , season before 37 games 184 shots at goal , ave. 4.9 per game . Just like the team, Harry's performance has dipped can Jose get Harry back to his best.

Ruthless? What he did was not ruthless, it was the worst kind of bullying, but if that’s what you have to tell yourself to justify his appointment then, whatever.

He’s a serial winner who’s got worse and worse in his last three jobs and left the clubs in chaos similar to what we are now.

Personally I don’t see us as having good enough players currently to lay a glove on Liverpool and City in the next couple of years, Jose or no Jose, so barring a freakish cup win, trophies are still a minute possibility.

And then the clock’s ticking to his always guaranteed third year meltdown, and more chaos. Just makes no sense to me in an ethical or footballing sense.
