I think if it wasn’t mind blowingly obvious Kane had lost faith in Poch, just watch his performance today. He hadn’t played like that under Poch for years.

It’s taken José two days to turn Kane into a more talented Diego Costa mk 2 ???

Kane was not only more physically involved but his early playing on the shoulder was distinctly lacking recently with Poch at the helm. Felt like the Kane of old with more of an attitude. Have to think Mourinho has told Kane to stop messing about with the false 9 shit, get up front and torment those defenders.

dont Get me wrong I know kane has Poch to thank for his debut etc but he will LOVE playing under a winner like Jose.

Kane made his Debut under Redknapp.

And was given a good run in team by Sherwood alongside Adebyaor near end of that season. :)

I love this phrase ‘shithousing’ as describes his play and leading of team perfectly today!

We need to be a bit more nasty and show winning mentality as that’s always been our problem in the past, not being ruthless enough.

You can see why other teams don't like our Harry - he bullies other players. Lots of shithousery today - great to see!

Yep he left that space to Alli and Kane actually stayed as a 9 more exactly how I’ve been wanting him to play for ages!

In defence of Poch somewhat and also Kane, I guess, he could absolutely do a great job of the false 9 role with the same desire he showed today and with the right team/tactics around him.

I think it's going to be difficult to separate the effect of Jose's tactics from the effect of the renewed spirit almost all of the players are showing.

He could but Kane's best when he's tormenting defenders, he's one of the best strikers on the planet, you don't neglect that just because he's so good he could do the false nine too.

Another aspect of it is that with Kane staying up top, it gives Alli far more space to work in. The Spammers were ripped to shreds because Alli had so much more space than we'd seen in ages. If Kane is dropping into theat space too, it clogs things and also allows the backline to soak it up. But if Kane is taking their attention, Alli gets to run rampant.

All of us have!

It’s what’s been so frustrating for the last 2 years (including the time Dele has been out) it’s been so obvious how to get the best out of them both.

Personally, I'm just really happy to see that Kane can actually still play like this, especially from the physical perspective. I've been wondering for so long whether those ankle injuries really had prevented him from becoming the impervious heart of the team that he used to be. Now I have my answer.

He was actually pretty unlucky today. If a few things had gone a metre in his favour, he could've easily had a brace of both goals and assists. But his luck will return and I'm looking forward to him rightfully reasserting himself as the leader of the squad.

Frankly, I was getting bored of hearing from non-Spurs supporters that Son is significantly better than Kane based on the typical recency-biased football fan attention span of a couple of months at most. Towards the end of Poch's reign, the play just favoured anyone who could run fast and beat a man and Son was the only one who ever benefited from that godawful diamond. No wonder Kane was sick of it.

Yep I was getting pissed off with other supports going on about how we were better when Kane didn’t play.

Kane just doesn’t get the respect he deserves tbh and people far too busy pointing out how he speaks or looks (which twitter should be doing something about - I’ve already said a few times people should have to register on there with NI number and face prosecution over some of the stuff that is said on there).

He was immense today.
Im calling him either Shithouse Kane or Harry Shithouse from now on.
Haven't decided which yet.
