He'll probably need to wait for the Bayern game most likely now.

The game in Munich coul be interesting. I expect a lot to feature who haven't got lots of chances so far. Probably time to see KWP, Verts, Lo Celso or Sess.

I saw KWPs shirt hanging in the dressing room yesterday. So maybe he was ahead of Foyth in the pecking order.
Not an easy job to name our bench when everyone is available.

Especially under new management with clean slates.

Got his chance but did not really do very well

Not helped by getting no help from his team mate on his side of the field

Should've been out on loan for 2-3 seasons now. Has absolutely regressed. Expect him to be loaned out to a Championship side or even sold in the summer, maybe even January if we go for a RB. Maybe we can work out with WBA in January involving Ferguson and KWP, who I expect would be an upgrade at this point.

He wasnt helped much and kingsley was at him from the start of the game and clear he couldnt really handle him so needed extra protection We all like the guy but lets be honest he really isnt up to the level we need, maybe if he was given proper game time being on loan for a season or two might have helped him. The level we demand and need at this point in time he is just now where near bar a few flashes now and again, its a shame but that the truth.

Its no surprise really as he should have been playing regularly at other clubs. We've got his development very wrong

It's a real stain on Poch's last couple of seasons that our youth development went so badly astray. Onomah (for example) was an absolute star at every age-level he played at, KWP was objectively a better player 2 seasons ago than he is now (from what we've seen), it sounds like Edwards had attitude/application issues but that could've been sorted out in-house, he's doing well with Vitoria SC from what I've seen.

Agree with the sentiment that we've stunted his development, can't help but feel we've let him down by denying him a loan move in the Championship, it should have happened a season or two ago. He's still only 22 though so maybe a January loan for 18 months will see him start to reach his potential.

Fuck me, if he needs another 18 months to reach potential, then he'll be fast approaching the twilight of his career. Unfortunately, he's not good enough and never will be.

The thing that has surprised me the most is his inability to beat a man. Whenever he gets in a good offensive position he just stops or checks back. I’m really not sure that’s confidence I just don’t think he has any pace.

Just doesn't have the physicality of aggression to compete at this level. I think he's technically superior to any right back we've had in the last 5-6 years but he just looks like a scared child playing a mens game most of the time.

Saying that I thought he was competent enough last night apart from the first 15-20 minutes.
