It’s quite evident that we need players in January, a RB and a DM the most obvious positions, but I also think we need another goalkeeper, a CB and a LB within the not too distant future.

We also look an incredibly poorly coached side, one that mourinho and Sacramento are going to have to work on to try and get them back to understanding what tactics are.

For Kane, is he happy to spend the next 18 months of his career out of the Champions League......not sure any spurs fan could blame him for wanting a move in the summer if we don’t make the top 4.

We are in a very real transition and only a couple of our players are actually any good. Ndombele was good today and you can see he will be excellent, I thought Lo Celso looked good in patches but he needs more games to show what he is about. Kane obviously is brilliant and I think Sanchez has been very good since mourinho came in. Sonny needs to stop the petulance as he is a class above, but apart from that we are severely lacking in personnel.

Buying a new RB and DM in January could have us line up with a 433 with Ndombele and Lo Celso flanking the DM with the front 3 from Kane, Son, Lucas, Alli and Lamela.

Bit unlucky today with the own goal but that’s football and we move on to the next game that we must win.

Plus points in a sea of turd were JMs double substitution at ht. Love that.
And Ndombele was really good.

I know some on here will be moaning that we should never have gotten rid of Poch, that nothing's changed etc. Jose is a smart manager, nothing will go unnoticed about these performances, especially in defense. Right now he probably has a good idea who he wants out the club and where we need to strengthen. I mean, if we on SC can see it, so can he. He inherited a team in turmoil. He's been here 7 weeks. Next season, I'm sure will be a more settled side. Plus I think we'll win the FA Cup this year!

I have no fear that Harry Kane will be here for for at least the next two seasons. People are nuts if they think he won’t be.

Some of you fuckers don’t know how lucky you are. We’ve finally got a better manager in that can deal with the 3rd best squad in the league. We’re lucky.

I think Ndombele is wasted in that holding role - would like to see him play in Dele's position sometime.
I don't think his style has the kind of economic movement and poise needed to operate in those tight spaces when the game is congested and static. Always needs some space to explode into with the ball or pass into.

Take away Foyths and Auriers brain farts and we actually played some decent football at times today.

We've sacked a manger mid season and this Spurs squad is in a major transition. Mourinho has flat out said that the defence is a major concern.
We'll just have to accept that it will take time both for Mourinho to galvanize the team and infuse his tactics, and for the new players to hit their stride.

.

I think the whole team, or side that's picked on match day, always has one thing in common... Be it under Poch or Jose, they lack intensity.

We get out muscled, lose too many second balls and generally lose the midfield battle.

Our individual quality is saving us at times but overall we're definitely well less than the sum of our individual parts.

And that's the teams dynamic, lack of collective work ethic and overall desire.

It's extremely frustrating to watch.

At least we don't have to listen to the manager say how well we played and how happy he was with the performance, and how he has faith in his team.

Jose will get rid of anyone who isn't good enough, and he won't do it nicely, but it's so visibly necessary.

That’s not primarily why he in the team though is it?

I admit possession is a team responsibility but our other midfielders are just as - if not more - guilty of squandering that. Especially the deeper lying ones.

We need another Moose.
I genuinely think that Tanguy is that player.

But otherwise I agree, getting the best out of key players whilst balancing the team is the key.

3 at the back can work but it should have been Sanchez, Alderweireld and one other. Whereas we made 2 personnel changes, Foyth who’s barely kicked a ball all season, Verts who’s been playing left back and then to compound it we set them up half a mile from each other.
I've seen it under Poch playing Sanchez Toby and Jan. It was shite! It only works when playing against teams who are going to dominate possession like Barca. Not against the likes of Norwich.

Let’s be honest, it wasn’t a great performance. But there were signs there that our expensive signings that Poch wanted did a bit right? He said they wouldn’t be ready for two years. That’s not good enough. Especially when you say the team you have is good enough. That you ran into the ground. We’ll get top four, not because of Poch but despite him.

I agree it’s overkill against the likes of Norwich but it has worked and been successful in the past. Albeit not a straight 3 CBs, when Dier dropped back into make a 3 with Walker and Rose pushing forward we were devastating. Granted that was a couple of years ago. Unfortunately there is so much wrong with our squad that it’s going to take a full preseason and a squad overhaul to rectify it. The mentality of our players, especially the key players is shocking.

We could seriously go into the Championship and buy the best right back and left back in the division and they would be more defensively competent than any of our full backs. That's how bad things have got in those positions.

I do also feel that the chocolate teapot midfield we put out today did the defence no favours. Yes, we were more creative but the defence had no protection. Even in the second half we still looked vulnerable in the middle of the park.

I think Jose is letting it all hang out so Levy loosens the purse strings in the summer.
