Maybe this is the reason we have to wait till summer to pay up on the loan options rather than paying for a permanent in January.

I’m certainly not ITK and the snippets I’ve shared have come through 3rd parties. That rumour is Alphabet/Google takeover with Levy staying on as chairmen and it’s been agreed in principle for a while. They were keen on Jose and Jose knew before he signed that cash was coming eventually.
I’d be more than happy for levy to stay on, he would provide some stability when lots is changing and the fact is he’s very good at his job, just get a Director of football in so levy doesn’t need to be near transfers

totally agree. And they’re a listed business, how do you think their shareholders would feel about them spending money on questionable transfers etc.?

They wouldn't, because (despite what is often wanted on here) that's not what owners do or is possible.

Clubs spend their own money. Only difference is the creative ways it becomes their 'own money' (Etihad stuff)

i dun care how we cum as long as we cum, even if a tranny delivers a blowjob............whoever owns the club and can deliver success, i'll take that.

screw em "the right way, philosophy, game is about glory" nonsense, we've tried that with Hoddle, Arnesen, Santini, Jol, Commoli, AVB, Poch.

Only right way is "The Winning Way"

Levy as chairman, with loads of cash, sounds like a winning formula to me.

As long as he stays away from transfers. I think he could have unlimited money, but I don’t think it would stop him from trying to be too clever for his own good.

This was spotted in the Head office of Google in London, earlier this year and posted online:

As much as I'd love for it to happen, why do google need the exposure of a stadium named after them.

There are many examples of american tech titans that own sports teams. Mostly american sports teams though. So, while it might sound ludacris at first it isn't. This would be an absolutely massive deal though, both from an economic perspective, but also the fact that it's...well Google. Alphabet has a host of different subsidiaries all owned by an holding company and they have been pretty vocal about looking to expand their ventures but that they would be looking in to sports teams, it's coming from the left field for many, including myself.

Surely everybody has been around for the time ENIC have owned the club and must realise how Levy is a control freak?

He does everything. Just look at transfers. Just look at the stadium. He wants 100% control over everything. New owners won’t give him that. There’s no way he would stay on. He wouldn’t be able to deal with it. I would be astounded if he’d be part of a new takeover. Astounded.

From what I’ve been told historically, there wouldn’t be a sale, there’s no appetite for one. Investment in the club, without doubt. But a sale, no.

Hi guys, some ITK for you regarding any potential take over (yes, cleared by A&C). Despite being open to selling the club just 1-2 years ago once we had moved into the new stadium, Enic & Levy are now not interested in selling the club. I have been told that Levy values the club at around £2 billion but would not accept a bid anywhere near that offer. It would have to be substantially (and ridiculously higher). I’m told he wants to continue growing the club and is planning on the next chapter in the clubs history.

Also, there’s this from the summer, which I thinks more likely. Although things obviously change.
