Quick, accurate passing between the lines is so important. Getting in a true DM will allow him to move up the pitch further and to be able to sustain pressure in the opponents half.

You can see he will be a fans favourite already, never shy's away from the ball, always looking to go forward, works hard to get the ball back. Really impressed me last night. I honestly can't wait to see him play again and that is a sign of a special player to me.

That is a very intelligent and talented player. I remember one of his former coaches in Argentina saying he had to be on the ball constantly to get the maximum benefit from him. His instinct for getting out of trouble in tight spaces, knowing when to pass and when to carry the ball, for spotting runs and angles is obvious. I want to see him central and involved in the game as much as possible.

He's definitely a playmaking CM in the modric style, assist before the assist.

Looks like it works best for him.

He is definitely a CM rather than a 10 etc he has a work ethic and level of game control suited for the position however I’m sure he can play further up field so suppose we’ll wait and see what’s best.

That map tells me nothing (other than that I have completely lost touch with football analysis).

Size of node = number of touches
Thickness of line = number of passes between two nodes

Xgchain is couple of different statistics put into one, so whoever has most is a good sign. It favors players who score and assist a lot. So small dot for Moura means that he didn't do much in buildup, didn't receive too many passes but on the left it says he did most of the dribbling. Alli didn't have plenty of forward passes and instead returned them back to Winks who would usually send them forward to Lo Celso who did most work creatively in final third etc. Here is one for City and obviously De Bruyne is a big dot since he is involved in every attack, Otamendi smaller dot than Laporte and Fernadinho who are comfortable with the ball and do more passing.

Impressive given that a lot of sports science experts of SC suggested he and Lamela wouldn't be able to start 2 in a row much less 3.

Agree, he can find the final pass and score - has to be further forward than the pivot, whether it's a double or single behind him, as Winks sitting alone allowed him to be last night.

Difficult times at the moment but to think Gio, N'dombadboy, Japhet Tangangbusiness, Kane and Sonny are all Spurs players is heartwarming. Add to that Dele and Mr Jose Humble One on the touchline/behind the scenes and there is reason to believe next season will be a damn more exciting than this one.

He was a joy to watch last night. Keep this man central, so influential. His technique, quality and ability to spot a pass are obvious but his tenacity and desire are such a bonus.
He and Tanguy are going to be superb for us. People talking about an overhaul really need to realise how much potential these two have. The sky is the limit, quality, quality footballers
