I can't believe people are comparing this guy to Janssen, it's laughable. The two are worlds apart in style and Bergwijn has all the attributes needed to compete in the Prem. He is rapid and very strong, they are too massive attributes to have. I haven't watched too much of him but from the games I've seen him in, he reminds me of a more polished version of Traore. I think in a front 3 alongside Son and Kane, we could be incredibly dangerous, especially on the counter. Add in Lo Celso and Ndombele and a potentially brilliant young team is starting to develop. He is definitely an upgrade on Lucas and would be a great addition to the squad in my opinion.

Bergwijn is a player that opponents will genuinely have to double up on, making space for others, or decimating defences if he beats them and finds a pass. With Kane and Son also in a front 3 one of them will end up in a lot of space!

When I left this thread in the morning he was being compared to Traore, now this evening its Janssen.

Makes me wonder what the fuck Bergwijn had for Lunch

‘It is expected that white smoke will soon be available’- so Levy has resorted to giving rival chairmen crack to sweeten the deal?

I am curious to see if signing Bergwijn will have an affect on any potential transfer for Eze in the Summer. Hopefully not.

Eze (IMO) is more of a Eriksen replacement than Bergwijn. I think we'll still push for this deal in the summer to reinvigorate the squad.

So is Bergwijn an Eriksen replacement or is he more a winger-type?

Seen him in about 4-5 games so probably not enough to judge heavily but what I have noticed.

- plays generally as the wide player but looks comfortable inside and has pace.

- Can really pick a pass, similar to Eriksen or Lo Celso in that aspect.

- Very good strong hold up play, bit like a striker like Kane in strength.

- does seem to rush his shots a bit, he looks more composed creating than scoring.

I would say he could help balance out our attack more. Son and Lucas do play a bit selfish at times and with this guy you would be getting better creativity and hold up play but maybe could be a little more composed when it comes to finishing.

Love the rumors on Twitter saying we’re only £2 millions apart from sealing the deal.

Mr. Levy: would you take £1 million..?
