Been a massive part of the best Spurs period in my lifetime so whilst it hasn't ended on the best of notes, I hope he does well at Inter.

Thanks for the memories Christian!

He deserved far more than that footnote. Was a great player and produced some memorable moments for us.
Hope he recovers his mojo at Inter.

Delighted the saga is finally over, the best for both parties. Wish him the best and a great deal for Inter really.

As sour as the ending has been, it’s made it much easier to deal with the loss of such a player that’s for sure. Used to dread the thought of this but now I’m happy.

I think it's important to remember the good times. There's been a lot of negativity surrounding him (rightly so, I've participated in the negativity) but for a while he was a top, top player for us. Contributed many, many great moments for us.

I wish him all the best for his future now it's done.

Out with CE. In with GLC. Not a bad day.

Bit harsh just giving him a paragraph at the end of the GLC article. Thank you and good luck Christian.

edit, we have now given him a proper send off. Well played.

He must have gone purely for money, as having Ashley Young, Victor Moses and Lukaku as team mates is hardly a step up in quality..

Really think he's going to tear up the Serie A.. a bittersweet ending, but ultimately wishing him all the best.

Agreed. Pathetic from spursofficial.
Don't agree with that. He's been holding out for his own personal gain at the cost of the club for a couple of transfer windows. Not just by not being able to shift him but because they couldn't bring players in while he was there. Something changed, I'm sure he was planning on running his contract all the way down but maybe he realised how unpopular he was becoming with his "performances". If he'd been playing his socks off for the last year I'd feel warmer towards him but I'm over the moon to see the back of him and over the moon to finally end the saga that this turned into.

What's wrong with sharing an article with GLC, good grief some of you. It's not like the title doesn't bear his name. And definitely it's not a footnote.

Thanks Christian, you've been amazing.

305 games
69 goals
89 assists

Shame about your lack of desire/can't be that arsed attitude on the pitch in the last 12-18 months.

However, sad to see you go overall...but won't miss your near post corners...
