Poch truly stalled KWP's development.

Never had a decent shot with us or learning his craft elsewhere. There was no reason not to send him out on loan last season when we had Trippier and Aurier on our books.

Last season Poch’s use age of KWP was absolutely abysmal and if he didn’t have the faith or balls to play him I agree he should of loaned him.

And it was even odder as Trippier was carrying an injury so he was kind of thrown to the wolves too.

much as we like because " he is one of our own " you have to be realistic and honest and that is he is not good enough for a top premier side .

Great move for KWP, Saints are great at developing talent. Personally hope there’s no option and we just see how he does with a run of games in the Prem before selling but best of luck to him either way.

No surprise that we can’t find anyone willing to pay the reported £20m asking price for him and instead will have to take a loan. I have zero expectations for this lad as he just doesn’t have the physical attributes needed to make it as a modern day full back.

Still holding out hope for KWP...his few MOM games shows there is potential in him that just needs game
Would be good if we could just loan him out and see if he realizes his potential ..if not then we sell him

Southampton would be a good place, and I hope there isn't an option to make the loan permanent. Even if we have no intention of ever playing him, I figure his value is about as low as it can go right now... if he has a successful loan we stand a better chance of getting a decent fee. We would also see a larger number of potential teams bidding in the summer (assuming he was deemed still not at our level after the loan). Same thing applies to Foyth, too.

More KWP to Saints buzz. Actually think a loan is a good idea, there's a player in there and hopefully he'll actually play and rebuild his value going into the summer leading to a more substantial fee.

On the one hand a loan to Southampton is a good idea, but that is only the case if he's getting regular games as a first choice RB, if he's simply loaned and he just sits on the bench and is a cover / back up option for them and he only plays the odd game here or there, we won't learn any more than we already know.

I know it's mercenary, but what we all really want to know is whether he's good enough to cut it in the PL with a consistent run of games, and it's tried out as an experiment at another teams risk and expense

Think they hate their entire team, which is funny considering they now seem to have a very good season. Were level with us before previous round, 9th now like in their Poch days. Start of the season was just so incredibly poor, let's see if they can keep their current form up.
