Ok, I consider world class to be the likes of Hazard, Neymar, Mbappe. He looks decent from what I've seen of him, but see no way of saying he'll be world class. He hasn't done anything in a top division yet.

In my local circle we would consider those to be elite players, the best of the best. World Class is a level below to us, however you do make a very valid point. Potential is just that, potential. No one could've said Kane would be an elite striker one day, but look how that turned out. Let's see how he gets on in the next few years.

My original post was to merely say that in my opinion, Lo Celso, Ndombele and Berg have huge potential. Very exciting young players.

Wolves have just put a £75m price tag on Adama Traore, so if he turns out anything like him it's a good investment.

No pressure then :D.

Looks good and I have a good feeling about this signing, but we have to be mindful of the likes of Depay who’s stats were off the charts in Holland.

Anyway, Stevo!
not saying he's as good or anywhere close in quality to kevin mind you just similar style.

So far I've seen comparisons to Mane, Sterling and KDB

No pressure then....just happy we have signed a young prospect who appears to be highly regarded, hopefully he can hit the ground running and give us a much needed boost in an attack that looks like it has run out of ideas.
You must have missed my comparison to Aguero

His the sort of player to get bums off seats he has electric pace technically good on the ball. Although I felt this wasn’t a priority signing this transfer window I am excited.

I know this won’t go down with a lot of Alli haters we now have some fantastic young exciting players Bergwijn in an attacking line up with Alli sounds good to me at least stat wise we’ve added a player good on both scoring and assists.

See, I think it is. He looks like a match winner, can contribute a moment of play that can change a game. We need more of those. He did talk a lot of nonsense at times but something Redknapp said which has always stayed with me "you can never not have enough match winners in your team".

The ones we have: Dele, Son, Lucas seem to do it in fits and starts, the other might be out for the season, and the one we had, we just sold and had been turd for a while. So I think it is quite important in that regard.

Much less nerdy- still nerdy but less so
I'd love to hear how Sweet Caroline - Steve Bergwijn reverberates around the new stadium, it could be a proper anthem. I would prefer a different line to the "He hates the scum", as I think we're above that and don't need to mention them

Apologies if already asked/ answered but I assume Bergwijn is eligible for the next round of the CL on the basis PSV failed to qualify for the main competition (knocked out in second qualifying round) and ended up in the EL.

Second, are there any restrictions on him playing in the replay against Southampton (seem to recall/imagine some odd rule that only players registered by the club at the time of the original game are eligible)?

Don't think there's any restrictions on CL now but he'll be unable to play against Southampton because he wasn't available for the original tie

He's a premium version of the kind of winger we've been trying to buy on the cheap for about 5 years - N'Jie and N'Koudou were a similar style of player but we tried to get them earlier in their career and they didn't pan out Bergwijn promises the same kind of trickery and pace but with a lot more consistency and end product. Great signing.
