Was it that he was too young to go out on loan, or that we wanted to wait so he counts as club trained?

Probably the latter. If we see him as a player for the long term, then it would be really stupid to not make sure that he counts as a homegrown player.

Don’t know what’s going on here but his progression or lack of it is weird. He’s now 18 same age as greenwood and martinelli and a full international. One minute he’s in training then he isn’t. Then he’s on the bench and then not involved at all. Considering the current situation all a bit odd. Also thought the contract signing was a bit low-key. Just a tweet no interview no comments. I don’t know what it is but there’s something making his progression not as smooth as it should be.

He had an injury, so that's why he was then wasn't training with us.
Jose has also stated that he doesn't think he is ready (I'm sure poch said the same?)
I don't think there is anything going on

I hope he is not believing his own hype in Social Media and keeps his head down. Jose had no problem to involve Japhet when he thought he is good enough.
Maybe he is not the man to throw in at an important Champions League match. But by now I would have hoped he could come of the bench in the Premier League given our injury crisis up front.

He is being brought through slowly, with no huge hype and being made to work hard for his opportunity. Doesn't seem odd to me for someone just turned 18

Nothing super solid, but some internet/social media rumors starting to kick about regarding his behavior off the pitch. Don't want to get too far ahead of anything when it's rumor but would make more sense than him being left out for performance reasons.

Situation : Main No9 injured, no striker in squad, no striker bought in transfer window. Still in 3 competitions.

Sign the contract...go on a winter break to Dubai...enjoy with friends?

Or

Sign the contract...Train in winter break alongside likes of Davies...Impress manager....get a chance...show what he can do ?

I bet you that Harry Kane at 18, takes the option 2. Troy has taken option 1.

If Troy wants it, he has to show it in training. With Son injured, not even made the first team training today. If Jose is not seeing him as a viable option, thats because Troy himself doesn't see that. Lad has got to mature & take the opportunity

Doesn’t really say anything about his behaviour other than maybe being friends with someone who seems a bit of a flash knob, and who’s related to some bad people.

True...It doesnt matter who was the friend.
To me, it does matter, on what he is doing there.
I could be wrong, did every youth player go on a winter break ? I would rather wanted him to train at Hotspur way and show he is ready for challenge.

Could be. Troy’s problem is he has the focus of his nation on him. Harry did not at his age, or stage in his career. I’m sure Harry took holidays, the difference was nobody was looking.

He's part of the first team squad. All first team squad players went on a break unless they were coming back from injury and needed to work on fitness levels.

True. May be, I am expecting too much out of Parrott and may be Harry comparison is not warranted at this stage.

I dont know if he is injured. But if I just go by Jose's word , he is saying he is not ready...not that he is injured.
Also, is he not even ready to be part of first team training squad when Cirkin & Fagan-Walcott is training ? If thats the case, then its on Troy to correct it.
