This Summer will be fascinating at the epic battle surely to ensue between he and Levy over the budget he will likely receive due to our lack of CL football.

Said he was a busted flush way back when. Nothing I’ve seen has changed that opinion. Levy pulled off a master PR trick, it’s now backfiring. There is a reason no big club have been in for Jose and we are seeing it a lot right now. He’s Jurassic. We’ve been tucked up.

I don’t think Jose will get anything approaching what he wants whilst at the club.

I suspect the ‘old Jose’ would be targeting four new defenders and a midfield he could trust right now. Along with a striker or two. He’s not getting that at our place.

Levy needs to tell us what his plans for the club are really.

No need to get overly dramatic, we’re very average at the minute, that’s what we’re used to generally speaking. I just want to know what the plans are going forward. Charging highest prices in football and being served up that defence? Not sure that’s correct

Snowflake community, first sign of trouble and you want the manager gone, sort yourselves out ffs lol

Who has said that? Certainly nobody in this thread? A bit blinded by your desperation to virtue signal here.

Edit - just went back a page and can see a couple iffy ones. That I’ll give you

Even if you can't blame Jose for the current tripe, given injuries, etc - I don't think he is the man that we hoped he would be. I'd rather not give him the summer tbh, looks tactically naive where defence is concerned.

He was a divisive appointment from the start. Once he was appointed you hope he can be successful, but as a lot of us feared it's the same shit he served up at Man United.

Should have stuck with Poch. We could have brought in Pep and it wouldn't have gotten us top 4. Mourinho is not going to be the type to oversee the kind of rebuild we need.

Im not to keen on getting involved in some of the arguments on this site but my own opinions are that I agree that Maureen needs time.

but what he has showed me is that he is not much more special than any other managers who need time and the right players. I’m more than happy to see what he can do with a summer behind him but he’s done nothing of note to show me that he is a manager that’s a level above other managers. He demands the same things as all the other managers. Time and the right players

It is a very weird season that went tits up from the beginning and so many things happened I can just not stand here and just blame Jose.

After pre season this could have been our starting XI: Lloris - Kwp/ Foyth , Toby, Jan , Rose - Tanguy, Sissoko - Lamela, Eriksen, Son - Kane

And not a single one of these players was on the pitch today for various reasons.

I hope we can give it a go in the FA Cup with some match luck but otherwise we need to suffer until the new season. There Mourinho takes full responsibility for the state of the squad, tactics and line ups. No more excuses then.

Levy being a scrooge is going to cost the club millions in champions league money 2020/2021 season and Pochettino his job..
Especially asking too much for Eriksen and others in the summer and not spending the money required for the rebuild...
League is a shambles this year we should be easily 2nd/3rd of playing to the level we should have been.

As for Jose have no idea what is going on just chopping and changing like he has no idea

Jose will want £200m to sort this side out. Maybe more. He’s probably right too. It’s got the feeling of being the right appointment at the wrong time.

Levy sacked Poch to save money, but its backfired big time.

Eriksen went anyway.

Verts has proved why Poch wasnt playing him and will go.

Toby may or may not have stayed but I would say Poch was a far more influential figure in our relative success than one good player.

I don’t particularly blame him for where we are at the moment but you have to question how much hunger he’s got now and how much he’s got left in the tank. He looks like a tired old man in a footballing sense and that’s how the team are playing. That defence he picked today was asking for trouble

No. Poch needed to go - things were well beyond his control, whether it was his fault or not. What we should have done was offered a much younger and progressive manager the chance, but I think a lot of us bought into the Jose factor & I'm one of them. We have bottled it under Jose and look more like the Ardiles side, except for the scoring part. I think we can all see that it won't work now - Levy isn't gonna fund a Jose rebuild, much like he wouldn't fund a Poch rebuild. Game over until ENIC gets an offer they can't refuse & I doubt that is likely in the short term.

My criticism of Jose isnt that he hasnt sorted this team out etc but I would have expected an improvement in our play both defensively and then offensively but there isnt a facet of our team or play that has improved. I would also criticise him for our approach to games. We played well first half but second half we were pretty passive and just seemed to go back in our shell.

He has blamed strikers for quite a bit of the time, and yeah I agree with him our striker situation is shite, but we score two today and concede three goals - that cant be blamed on the striker situation.
