is it just me or is that far from conclusive?

just means that campos isn't levy's ultimate sporting director. herc (?) said the club weren't sold on it but were happy to go with what jose wanted, maybe levy just wasn't convinced and is bringing him in under a grumpy cloud, especially if it's costing him a few quid.

whatever, think my head has boiled in the sun.

Campos would be too ambitious and proactive for Levy to stomach. He'd prefer a nice wet blanket as DoF, complaining in the media and stirring up apathy everywhere.
Yet more evidence that Levy doesn't give a flying fuck about trophies and on field success. All he is interested in is lining his own pocket while plodding innocently along, having fans pay through the nose for a shit-show of non-ambition and mediocrity...

more annoying than the dybala saga

I dunno, missing out on a world class player in their prime for 'not that unreasonable' monies we were prepared to pay after having agreed wages and that but not being prepared to pay the reported 14M for image rights to secure the deal. I'd say missing out on Dybala is won't be topped for a little while even if we lose out on Campos.

That info came out before the links saying he was on his way to Spurs. Interesting that he's rejected Newcastle after their takeover.

So the thought that we are probably not hiring a person that we may not ever have been interested in or ever needed or had even wanted to come to us in the first place yet still might is evidence that Levy doesn't give a fuck and is lining his pockets? Simone Biles would be impressed with that one blimey.

Didn’t we get info a while back that Levy may have been told to step back a bit from the football side of things? Concentrate on the property side or something? Maybe Campos coming in is the start of that, and Levy isn’t over the moon about it? I dunno, straws and all that.

Massively clutching at straws guys.

The press don't think it's happening

The most reliable ITK (by far - no offence intended to others) is suggesting it's not happening

As much as we would like it (and I really would) at present it doesn't look like it will happen.

Trying to re-imagine what JJ's said into something good is wishful thinking in the extreme

I read your post. I look at your nick. I read your post again.

Insert: funny GIF with Ron Burgundy saying "I´m having a hard time wrapping my head around this one"

Insert: second funny GIF with Ron Burgundy saying "You are so wise, like a miniature Buddha covered in hair"

Removed: actual GIFs.

Result: according to guidelines and rules for comments in the ITK-thread. And not so funny anymore ... :shy:
