In the Cold Light of Day
Team could not be faulted for effort
Team could not be faulted for tactics

Players could be faulted for poor application (giving ball away too easily)
Players could be faulted for lack of creativity
Players could be faulted for lack of skill

Coach could ber faulted for tactics
Coach could be faulted for selection

Ref could be faulted for penalty decisions as he allowed much more physical contact at any deadball marking

Remedy for most faults - play better players in a more attacking mindset.

Simple - I should have been a manager

I'm sure we'd replace Kane with absolutely no problem. Our crack scouting team would unearth a young, line leading, 25 goal a season man who no one else has spotted who's going for half the going rate of all other comparable strikers, and Levy would execute the deal swiftly and discretely. Definitely.
As we always do. ?

Would we? We have enough folk on here who keep it 'real' to make sure all of us who shout are put back in our boxes when we have it wrong.

Softest pen you'll see all season. Stonewall?

:ROFLMAO:

As for Gedson - did we actually buy him then? What a hot take on a loaned player.

That is most definitely not the softest pen we'll see all season. Massive Spurs blinkers on all over the shop

As for Gedson, doesn't matter, he's taking up a route for an academy player, and is absolutely, very obviously mediocre. Loan or buy, I do not see the point at all, or believe there was no one better we were able to get.

Love the line about blocking the route for an academy player line. Classic.

Blinkers? Neigh, mate.

Which yoof player is he blocking? I don’t know any of our youngsters who have his skill set. Could you enlighten me?

I would describe it as a 'contrived' situation where a penalty had to be given.
That's modern football for you.
TBF I don't think there was any more contact, the would be construed as a foul, than there was for the second pen that was disallowed.
It's a contact sport, regardless of how the Football authorities are trying to change that, so incidental contact is a given. A player hitting the deck from that does not instantly equate it to a foul.

We've had far more contact against our own players, I give you Mings bringing down Kane earlier in the season, that have been waved away as incidental, so I'm in the camp that thinks this was never a penalty.

Unfortunately, we will forever be on the receiving end of these decisions as long as Moss is allowed to continue stinking up the game.

You can say what you want about the pen but dier should never end up isolated from that position .... someone should be covering ! Look at winks right behind him, we’re did he go surely he covers from there awful ! Some fans don’t wanna see it though

If he's gonna play on the wing, Bennett, Markanday. I mean, they can't really do much worse. He looks like a schoolboy playing a couple of years up.

That is too much of a gap, certainly.

Seriously, what has Gedson done that a youth player with any level of skill couldn't? He reminds me of Onamah playing on the wing under Poch. Out of his depth and more likely to tread on the ball than skin an opponent.
Our fabled youth system, all those players that are currently in and around our first team squad pulling up trees ... Bar Harry of course, even then, the tide is turning.

Gedson looking out of his depth when 2 out of our 3 big summer signings have done the square root of fuck all since they joined should be of a bigger concern rather than two youth team players not getting to look like Josh Onamah playing out on the right wing in Gedsons place.

Your post makes absolutely no sense. Tell me what Gedson offers playing out wide at the moment?

Very harsh. Are you a regular at U21’s and U18’s so that you can make such a sweeping statement. If they are good enough bring them on but the manager obviously disagrees with you.

Precisely, looks horrendously out of his depth. The standard of conversation I see in here is as low as it was before the lockdown. Time to retire this site, has been a shadow of itself for years

Each to their own. Given our form beforehand and theirs I was expecting a spanking. We kept it pretty tight for most of the game. The football we play now is certainly not the type I want us to play but that’s the manager we have now. Not gonna change my team after 4 decades because I don’t like the manager. He’ll be off soon and people will have something else to moan about. (This rant is not aimed at anyone in particular, you were just there when it happened)
I agree with you regarding Jose not being here long, I just can't see levy tolerating the comments around he has nothing on the bench to change things and the usual woe is me narrative, I think he will be gone by Christmas.
