Honestly I think he plays Gedson and Skipp there in training not because he thinks they are ready for this position but more when they play 11 v 11 Skipp and Gedson can not always get their position to play in because its occupied by so many others.

When we play 11 v 11 in training could be like this right now:

----------------Lloris--------------------
Aurier-----Sanchez---Dier-------Davies-
----------Lo Celso--Sissoko-------------
---Lucas---------Dele----------Son
------------------Kane--------------------

----------------Gazza-------------------
--X -------TA---------JV---------Sess----
----------X----------Winks---------------
----X----------Ndombele----Bergwijn-
------------------Lamela------------------

Leaves Harvey White, Gedson and Skipp to rotate in the empty positions

If he wants to rest Aurier I would place Alderweireld (Japhet when fit) to RB and give Sessegnon a go on the left.

Nothing hindered KWP. He got more than enough attention at Spurs to know he just isn't good enough.

You can not claim its not hard to take for a young player after being Man of the match in the first game of the season to wait basically several months for your next chance in the Premier League.

He got chance after chance, proving repeatedly that the MOTM performance you are speaking of (3 assists in a domestic cup match, if memory serves) was an anomaly.

I for one don't feel he was mishandled.

i genuinely think Gedson could be a great RWB. He's young, he's fast, athletic, strong in the tackle, good attacking ability. Maybe needs to showcase his crossing ability.
But all the raw ingredients to become a very good attacking fullback

I think he probably was mishandled but i also question whether he is currently good enough for us.

The two may be related because he seems to have very little aggression or confidence about him

Disagree, he wasn't given a fair crack, initially when got in the team he did very well but wasn't picked consistently, then played out of position and then eventually lost confidence.

What manager at any club is not going to play a youngster if he is good enough ? I think every manager would play a Greenwood or a Lamptey or Cantwell and so on because they are deserving of starting in the first team and not picking them would be stupid .
The likes of KWP Onomagh Edwards were not and in my opinion will not be good enough for any premier league side now or in the future .

Lamptey has only played 2 games for Brighton, 1 of which he was subbed off at half time. KWP was MOM in his first 2 PL starts and got 2 assists.

He only had 3 other starts in all comps that season (all 3 of which he was out of position) and a total of 40mins off the bench across 4 games (and still managed another assist) which is hardly giving a chance on the back of a MOM debut.

There's no excuse as to why KWP, who got MOM in the first PL game of the season, then didn't get another PL start until the last game of the season. As a youngster, it must be so disheartening to do well then just get binned off.

That’s fine then you should loan them out early let them develop and sell them for as much as possible. Those 3 players should of got us £30m + to reinvest in the squad the fact that poch kept them with the 1st team without even putting them in the u23s killed their development.

Skipp masterclass incoming

I've said before the Gedson would be a good rightback. He's got the long distance runners build; with good pace, can tackle and also has an excellent cross. Full back is probably one of the easier positions to coach as it is so one dimensional! But if you have an above average athlete with a good cross yet not as good a technician to play CM or Wing it's definitely worth trying there. Look at Rose, AWB, as examples.

In a 433, Skipp would be fine. He is a very good young player who is disciplined, hard working, can tackle and can pass. He is also a leader, albeit in the younger age groups.

I can't believe Jose is blindly sticking with a formation and system that obviously doesn't work and clearly doesn't suit the majority of our players.

Go 433, with Skipp, Lo Celso, Ndombele, Bergwijn, Son and Kane and see how it goes.

Last time I watched him play I was impressed, he made smart moves, had good positioning and best of all used both feet effectively and often. Not sure what his best role is, doesn't strike me as a pure DM like Wanyama or a mobile player like Sissoko but he was good in limited time, sort of like Tanganga last summer in preseason. Hope he gets more minutes now top 5 is out of the reach.

We are making the same mistakes we have done with other players in the past and I cannot understand why Skipp still does not get any game time.

We should be thinking of next year Skipp should be playing every game no matter how he plays,we should be bringing on Dennis Cirkin and I know he is not ready yet but why not have Harvey White on the bench and see if you can give him 5min when you can.

I do not get why we have Gedson on the bench and if we are not going to buy him, why have him sitting there doing nothing and for the record I would not buy him.

With Troy Parrott out injured we should have had a look at Kion Etete who is also not ready yet but we could have had a look at him in training if he is fit.

Think Skipp needs more game time or he needs a loan next season to come back a man. Lots of potential I think but not at the level we need yet.
