Tottenham have been issued with a huge blow as Eric Dier will be unavailable for selection until the final matchday of the season after being hit with an FA suspension.

The England international was banned for four matches and issued a £40k fine for using 'threatening actions' after climbing into the stands to confront supporters after an FA Cup clash with Norwich City.

Ridiculous seeing they did not charge Gendouzi. I have nothing against the ban but it is the inconsistency when applying the rules. I am sure if he played for Utd he would not have got a punishment.

How many months has it been?

Absolute bullshit it's like they've waited for him to get back into the team to do it.

Not that what he did was a bright thing to do. But he was protecting his brother from, I can only imagine was absolute scum. 1 or 2 match ban, sure. But context is everything.

Just as we're starting to defend better at home at least. It will have to be Toby and Sanchez now which isn't too bad. Thank god Vertonghen is signed for the rest of the season.

Just read a long piece by Henry a Winter about this, so basically
-The fan approached the club and met Dier to apologise and admitted he was in the wrong.
-Gareth Southgate got involved, without being asked by club or player, to support Dier and give a character reference.
-The fan admitted to the police that he was an idiot and said he did not think Diers behaviour was threatening.

However the FA decision said the fan left as he felt threatened and found Dier guilty of threatening behaviour ,ridiculous and Jose was spot on with his comments.
