If people are pissed off the best way to do it is not renew season tickets and not buy tickets when the stadium reopens.

If we are this bad next season we won’t fill out the stadium after a while, no matter how many fans we may have.
Its already happening, every spurs fan i know is or going to cancel their membership or ST, partly due to the uncertainty of ability to attend games because of covid but mainly because of the dire football being served up. When finances are tight why would you waste hundreds, some times thousands on stuff that people are turning their tv over for.

I don't believe ENIC would like they shiny new stadium fighting for TOP10. They have to invest. But I also don't believe they will. At least not in a way they should. Chelsea already bought Werner and Zyiech. What about Spurs? We are thinking about buying Eze from championship... Next season can be very painful.

Anyone else think that this is going to make the club (fans not just ENIC) look like idiots?

Going to be a lot of Chavs, goons, spammers, etc laughing.

To be fair Levy bangs on about being a guardian of the club and being responsible. So how is taking yourself a nice fat bonus part of being a responsible guardian? Bit hypocritical isn't it? And then giving a present to Scudamore too? Yet he'll baulk at signing Jack Grealish for an extra few million.

They’re are already laughing and have been for donkeys.

The plane idea seems like a massive waste of money tbh. Don’t buy the merch and don’t go to games. Far more effect than some banner on a plane.

WHAT A FUCKING DISGRACE
Why is it a disgrace? ENIC and Levy are a disgrace how they’ve sucked the soul out of our club and don’t care about winning only profit. It won’t make them sell up but it’ll get some attention at least and trust me Levy will be well aware of it, he won’t like the PR it will
bring. I don’t give a fuck if other rivals fans laugh, we are a shit show on the pitch and there is no coherent plan.

Does it? Showing table from (08/09 to 18/19) doesn't make any sense.
Table since ENIC came does.

If I’m remembering correctly, I believe it’s the case that ENIC spent about ~£20m net per year for the first nine or ten years they owned the club, and thereafter went to zero net spend, with the only exceptions being the Sissoko transfer and last summer’s business.

It’s really been the last five years or so which have completely fucked us, so including the first decade of ~£200-odd million net spend bears little relevance to our current predicament. The fact is we’ve being roundly outspent over the recent past by the likes of Everton, Palace, and Leicester (not to mention our erstwhile “direct rivals”) and the chickens have come home to roost.

I like it. Will draw attention to the fans' grievances and will get the media talking about our big underlying problems. Also might provide some distraction from Aubameyang's hat trick.

To be fair, we did invest in a training ground and a new stadium, which will be vital to long term success. You can't just say 'no investment' and ignore structural investment.

Also your examples are very interesting because Everton and Palace have spent a lot of money and they have not progressed. Signings are important, but thoroughly overrated by fans in their importance in making a good team. I mean you need good players, but the problems in the team is deeper than that. Throwing money around won't solve it. The is a lack of synergy and confidence, but that can change.

The sad reality is expectations have exploded, we are victims of our own success. But one bad season doesn't mean much, not at all. Chelsea finished 10th between winning two titles and they spent a net total of 23 million in that 10th season. Liverpool have bounced around, so have all the big teams really. It's worth pointing out since 2015 only us and Man city have been in the top 4 in all of those seasons. A bad season happens and, frankly, we were due one.

What fundamental underlying problems. Not signing enough players I guess? You can't say investment, because while money isn't pumped in, that's clearly false. Sacking Poch maybe?

I'm not sure there are deep underlying problems. Most outside clubs will see this as a joke, so will the media. Because there are countless clubs with genuinely god awful ownership, it will be taken as a sense of entitlement. Which is what it is.

How is it optimistic btw. To think that we are not a club that should feel we deserve to be fighting at the top playing great football. We are not. We were a club on the same level of Everton, at most. And since 2005 we have slowly pushed ourselves up, to be a bit bigger than Everton in resources and all that but way bellow the others clearly 6th. We are, in paper, the 6th club in the league. Everything else is over achievement. The new stadium and training is an attempt to push on level pegging with the other 5.

It's pathetic, a lot fans are super entitled who can't really point at anything in particular. We are playing boring turgid stuff I get it. But, like I just feel we don't deserve what we've been given the last 5 years.

I used to look down at other clubs fans for the embarrassing stuff they have done and always thought I was glad that I supported a club whose fans where more clued in / mature but this sort of thing shows that we have some fans that are just as bad as other clubs.

This will make us a laughing stock and is up there with snal TV imo.

Title runs and a champions league final, with genuinely great high points. All from the 6th biggest club in the country, not in terms of some historical thing (where we lie somewhere between 8th and 6th as well) but in term of actual financial income coming into the club. If we got a rich owner at the right time that may have been different. But those days are gone, money can help, but you can't do a Man City or a Chelsea these days without penalisation.
