Yep. Also the good thing is if Hojbjerg happens to get himself in a good position I think we'd be able to rely on him to be able to pick a pass out. With Sissoko I'm always more shocked if he happens to do the right thing.

I would be more confident if he found himself bearing down on goal or in a good position around the penalty area, that he would get a shot off that would trouble the goalkeeper more than the fans half way up the stands.

Lamela is important for other reasons. Let me explain

For the past 10 seasons I have had a season ticket next to John. John always brings one of his children, usually James, his son but 4 or 5 games a season he brings his daughter Emma who is now 17. In all this time Emma has never ever seen Spurs lose. Now this is where Lamela comes in. Emma Really fancies Lamela. Sell Lamela and she might stop coming to the games. And that could really cost us wins.
Why the hell wasn't Emma in Madrid!

Also noticeable that when he wins the ball he nearly always looks for a progressive pass forwards rather than playing sideways to the FBs. Him and Lo Celso in tandem would be a great pivot allowing us to play a more creative player as a 10.

Fully agree. His touch was a little rough but his vision stood out too. Perhaps Spurs gave him too much time but he does seem to be one of those players who can see the field and react accordingly.

Few journos saying we’ve upped our bid and now agreed - supposedly a package worth around 25 million including add ons. Imagine will be 15 base plus some challenging add ons - both sides then get what they want to an extent

Oh how convenient. Saints get ripped apart online, leak that nothings even close then a few days later say we upped our bid to around their asking price and they agreed and it will be completed soon.

If that's the case nobody can say Levy hasn't backed Mourinho.

Spurs journos getting briefed that it's 15m, Saints reporters claiming we've caved in to their 25m valuation.

Reality is probably 18/20m including add ons - still a good deal for both parties.

Reckon it'll get done this weekend now.

Bet we haven’t upped our bid, that’s being put out there by Southampton journos primarily and I suspect it’s because they don’t want to look like they’ve had their pants pulled down by Levy for their skipper. It won’t be much north of £15m as originally stated and that’s a good deal imo

Unless we upped our bid on the proviso that they upped their bid for KWP. The net spend remains the same but they saved face.

Can't wait to see how many variations on his name we get on here.
Posts with BC's misspelling of Deulofeu's name (Doleufiou) are still the only thing that come up on the internet when you search it.
