Collodi wins for the second time in a week. This time at 9/2. Connor Brace was again the jockey, one to watch.

6pm Windsor - Endured 11/4

190,000gns Shamardal colt, dam won over 1m and was second in Italian Oaks. Well backed on debut at Kempton 1m in January and failed by only a neck to land the spoils. Winner, third, fourth and fifth have all won since so form looks rock solid.

Been told to back Strait of Hormuz 5/1 4.50 Ascot

Not tips but racing related this is a shocking incident from Australia and I hope Bowman gets a very long ban and wouldn't surprise me of he is sued by the owners of the horse that had to be put down

He only got a 6 week ban...now if it was a novice taking down a 'Champion' jockey rather than the other way around...also seems like he didn't even check on the young rider until a few days after.

VERDANA BLUE 3.40 York, SATURDAY (Ebor Handicap) 2 points win 12/1 generally

Is a strong fancy considering the competitiveness of the race. She ran very well last time out and also ran well on her only other flat start when a good 4th to Dee Ex Bee, in a group 3 again at Ascot. Her performance last time out was good as I’m convinced, she’s not a 2 miler on the flat let alone a 2 and a half miler which was the distance of the Ascot stakes. I also think she doesn’t like Ascot very much either and her record on that track so those performances can be upgraded. On Saturday she drops to the 14 furlong trip which should be perfect. She looked mustard when destroying the field in the Scottish Champion hurdle last year off a mark of 154 and although it’s well documented she needs good ground, I think she needs it good and not lightning fast, so with just spots of rain forecast between now and post time, conditions should be perfect. Over jumps she’s won 5 from 6 on flat tracks (including her last 3) on good ground and is one of the best around when conditions are in her favour. Off just 9 stone 2 and with Ryan Moore booked she looks something to get stuck into.

I was told that Jim Crowley could do a Dettori today at York but with Naval Crown in one of the races it was not really a viable bet.
Still, four on the trot ain't bad. ??
