Sorry, but how the fuck would a Spurs “ITK” know what Poch verbally agreed with Barcelona 3 weeks ago? Such a ludicrous claim.

edit - sorry, but if you buy into that claim, your gullibility is bordering on dangerous.

I have no idea or interest in whether he is going to Barca but if the ITK is a staff member at the club say. You know the club Poch managed for 5 years maybe they would have connections with that person whether he is still at the club or not. Not to mention said ex managers son still plays for the club.

Yeah, I’m sure they know Poch’s agent or people that’d be involved at Barca board level making decisions like this. And nobody else had heard anything except them. And it’s just a coincidence they shared that snippet the same day that links started gaining traction.

It’s just obviously nonsense in this instance. If they had those sort of contacts, they’d have a lot more info than “hear we’re after a striker and a right back” when obviously that’s what we’re after.
Dunno ?. Just trying to make sense of it. Maybe Levy would hear about it? You’re probably correct. ?

Cba to go into why this is all so unbelievably far fetched, and leaning on massive conveniences. If you want to believe that, go ahead. Not even saying they’re not ITK.

This is the Ndombele thread anyway, just noticed. So I’m leaving it there.

Talksport (Alex Crook) linked us to Marcel Sabitzer today. I remember there being something about this back in April too. Rumour of a call with Jose that he wouldn't deny.

Swap Ndombele for Skriniar and then bring Sabitzer in? That would be cracking business IMO.

Sacrificing a big but risky talent for two perfect Jose players that should walk into our starting XI.

Hojbjerg
Sabitzer GLC

That looks formidable and ready to go.

Crook is a bit of a waffler (claimed Højbjerg to Everton was a done deal) but Sabitzer would be a serious acquisition. Superb work-rate, versatile and with plenty of quality and end-product. If Jose has gotten to the stage where he thinks he can no longer get a tune out of Ndombele selling him and bringing in Sabitzer would be a great move.

Agree although I think N'Dombele would be more like a straight swap with Skriniar or at best with a little bit of money. We'd need to offload a few more to obtain Sabitzer.

Who’s our next manager?

Fred
Pogba.....Fernandez

No longer get a tune is a bit of a stretch
I cant get my head around this bloke
If he was one of our academy players he would be getting dogs abuse.
I see little point in having talent if you don't have the application to put that talent to any use.

He gets plenty of stick. He gets plenty of praise that’s so far unwarranted as well. That’s the polarising thing about unfulfilled talent. You’ve got the people that it, understandably, infuriates. Because he has game-changing talent that he isn’t currently using. And you’ve got people who will back him till the end because IF he can maximise his talent then we’ve got a bona-fide world class player. I’m personally leaning towards the former. But only if he can be replaced with genuine, established elite level talent like Sabitzer and Skriniar. If what’s coming the other way isn’t top tier it’s worth persisting with Tanguy for a while longer.

make or break time for the lad now as far as i'm concerned. he's had his chances. shown nothing in the last 3 weeks. 0 effort. next match is a real 3-pointer. latest comments make me doubt he has what it takes. no smoke without fire. take it with a pinch of salt. people who live in glass houses. it won't get better if you pick it.

Last 3 weeks? He's been on holiday & it's only a friendly next week! Are you feeling alright?

Sabitzer is top class talent, mentality and physicality wise he is the twice the player ndombele ever will be ... Also sabitzer earning 85k usd weekly so we can easily afford him in terms of wage.

Both skriniar and sabitzer combined weekly salary is less than what ndombele is earning at spurs. Let that sink in.

Even if we take 5m loss in transfer fee of ndombele, we will save huge wages if we can sell him and bring in two quality players and give ndombele's wages weekly (100k+100k) who suit the coach's demand ....

There’s posts about Sabitzer in multiple player threads. There’s also loads of other transfer rumours with no player thread. This new system doesn’t really work

We need a Sabitzer thread, even if it is Alex Crook.

Indeed. Joe Hart thread needed too:

So members of staff at Spurs definitely hear a lot of rumours, sometimes these are true and sometimes not, but when you're in Lilywhite House or at the Lodge and someone who's either senior or connected to someone senior, especially in the playing side of the business, says something you're going to take note. For example there were a number of staff talking just before Christmas about Poch potentially going to City at the end of the season. Did it turn out to be the case - no, but was is possibly true at the time - maybe.
