How many players in our squad can change the game like he does? I think he is an important squad player that we shouldn't sell.

How does he change the game, by running around kicking people and getting yellow cards?

We can re-sign Michael brown if that's your cup of tea.

He is a good player and I like him but if we get an offer, sell. He dithers too much in possession and is the weakest of our attacking players.

Where's this Sabitzer stuff coming from?
Some guy on Talksport. Highly unlikely there is any truth in it and we have no ITK on it but I think it's in here as people may see him as an upgrade on Lamela if he was to leave. I would absolutely love it if the rumours were true, he would be a serious purchase as he's a quality player and leader. But, I'm very pessimistic to be honest.

However a front 6 of Hojberg, Lo Celso, Sabitzer, Son, Lucas/Bergwijn and Kane is excellent.

For the record, I feel Ndombele has the potential to be World Class but if Jose really thinks he is lazy etc then I can't include him.

Are we at the point of the transfer window yet where Lamela will "become like a new signing"? Is it "going to be his season this season"?

I'm a big fan of Sabitzer. He has all the tools to be an excellent midfielder in the PL.
We won’t get Zaniolo from Roma, so Pellegrini will be out of the question as well. De Beek obviously gone. Sabitzer would be a great choice ,with Morgan Sanson just behind. As you say though,Sabitzer would be too pick.

As per ITK thread saying we are willing but not pushing to let him go.

I‘d be all for selling as he just isn’t consistent enough and too injury prone.

A shame as when he’s on top of his game he is an asset but far too many times in recent seasons he has an outstanding game then follows then up by stinking the place out.

We have Moura, Son, Bergwijn and possibly Sessegnon to fill wide areas and we need the money to replace-invest / freeing up wages / home grown spits etc.

I see Lamela as a useful squad player and an excellent, excellent player to bring on and close out a match. Thatis quite a limited job spec I've given him there, but it is still a lot more than Ndombele offers and there are other players I'd prefer to move on first.

Sadly behind Dele he provides really crucial depth as one of the only central attacking player who will play with the ball at his feet. I think we'd resemble AVB 2014 Spurs if we put out a lineup without him, Lo Celso or Dele in it. He's going to be really important in EL matches too. I think we should keep him rather than selling for peanuts.

i think the europa league will give him the opportunity to get some rhythm. Might end up being crucial this season. He was starting under poch at the start of the season ahead of Moura etc. I think if fully fit hes better than Lucas too.

Lamela already had his breakthrough in this club long ago and he's a well established and important member of this squad. He doesn't have to prove you or his haters anything.

Not only that but Lamela absolutely loves the club too, he's said as much. He's a handy player, good on the pitch, in the squad and in the dressing room.
There are other players I'd prefer to move on first, especially when considering that he probably wouldn't command a great deal of money.

I agree with all of the above, however, the fact is that Lamela is not a player you can depend upon due to his unfortunate luck with injuries. I think that factor alone is too strong to overlook, hence why I would be happy with moving him on if we are approached with a decent enough bid.
