Thought I would move this to the Kane thread to respond but out of interest, who would you see Jimenez replacing in our first 11? Personally I think Jimenez/Kane would be a good partnership but having two strikers would have a negative effect on Son's game and probably Moura too. Two strikers would likely spell the end of Alli being a nailed on starter in a front three/four and I don't see Alli being good played deep either.

Other rumoured options such as Ings and Wilson will require being played in the middle up front and wouldn't offer a great deal playing either side of Kane. The trouble for us is bringing someone in that can play alongside Kane but also replacing him when injured/rotated. Another Son type or someone similar to Mane would be the perfect option but there aren't many players around that we can afford right now. Werner would have been perfect but that's dead in the water. Hopefully if we can sort the HG issues out with our defensive signings then we can maybe shop in the European leagues for another attacker.
I agree, I don't know who he'd replace. I think our team is built around having a solo striker in Kane and Son in and around him, playing off him. But if we were to truly sign Jimenez and Mourinho wants him, I don't see how he doesn't start. He's quality. So unless Mourinho has a different game plan and formation going into next season, I don't really see it. As you said, another Son type player would be more ideal. I honestly can't give you an answer as to who he'd replace in the team, unless the formation changes.

I think if we have the money and can bring someone quality in that scores goals we shouldn't be thinking about who comes out of the team but I do see it a potential issue. Dele's role has become less needed in the last year or two and I don't see how he fits into our style under Jose at the moment, but I'm intrigued to see what Jose does with him and how/where he plays. All top 4 clubs have multiple strikers and we need someone in regardless.

Tbh, even if Harry does want to leave next summer, he has the Levy Airlock to take into account.

Even once they start pushing for a move, our best players usually spend at least 1 year stuck in that thing before Levy is willing to unleash them into the void.

Plus Kane hasn't even started pushing for a move, would cost ridiculous money and even next summer would still have 3 years left on his contract.

Think I've heard this same shite spouted for the last 3 years.
Negative bullshit statement that no one wants to listen to.
Don’t think many people have said it over the last few years maybe the press but we had a team and we’re playing at a level he would be happy with! Now we are a shadow of the team he will give one more season if no progress is made and no ambition showing he will be gone ! So many deluded people on this site

I’m so offended
I just don’t understand what gets you off so much on being such a troll, only looking to antagonise, spread negative and continually purvey misconceptions for which evidence is at best limited and in reality far outweighed by evidence to the contrary of whatever crap your spouting at that time. You’re not a Spurs supporter, you’re just a bloke who posts on a Spurs forum.

Every year the same. Hopefully he can be a "one season wonder" once again next season too :playful:

One of them ones who tell people they don’t support the club because they have a different opinion than you lol not surprising tbf ??
You didn’t give an opinion and I have no issue with opinions. You stated as fact that Kane is leaving in a year. Even you aren’t so thick that you fail to understand the difference.

Jimenez is very unlikely due to age profile with that price tag. He'll be 30 before the season ends.
