I’m not trying to deny recent ITK updates. But I find it ignorant to simply accept them all as truth and proceed to slander one of our players based on some secondhand information. He clearly has suffered through injury this season and therefore has had fitness issues. He also has had to adapt to a new league, city, language, and manager.

Is anyone actually surprised that the press immediately built a narrative involving Mourinho and Ndombele once our results went south? It is all a journalist’s dream. The platform to build on the juicy drama of Mourinho vs Pogba was perfectly set in stone. Mourinho’s Spurs were ravaged by injuries and began to have some poor results. So who else would the fiery Portugese want to fight with than a black, French, record signing midfielder that is “underperforming” in his team. Does this situation ring a bell? The Pogba saga gave this narrative instant credibility and believability to the masses. So many “sources” [which are probably mostly journalists] have likely regurgitated and morphed this story in hopes of being seen as an “insider with a big headline” or “who knew it all along” that almost no one knows the truth anymore.

He could truly be a shithead. I don’t know. But please don’t believe everything you read on the internet.

Only...there has been no such hit piece done by English media.
Every single bad news story of Ndombele- Jose came out of French news source. And every single good piece or denial of any fight came from English media. Common sense says French stories came from his camp and denials came our club PR.

There was only one time Jose directly had a go at him when he said Ndombele decided when he wants to play and doesn’t play thro what’s seen as minor knocks.

Fact that Jose trained him 1on1in middle of pandemic showed his commitment to player...which had couple of negative stories in press.

Also , do we really know what’s his injury is ? At this stage , I am inclined to believe he is just making up small knocks as big injuries.

We badly need cash to strengthen team /squad and he is a player that while he seems extremely talented (only showed glimpses for us so that's why I use seems) the manager doesn't appear to want him so sell him and get players that the manager does want. He could be reincarnation of Socrates but if he doesn't play, and is unlikely to until Jose moves on, then no point in keeping him.

It’s funny how often those who are so sure of Tanguy’s horrible mentality never question Lamela’s, despite him having a significantly worse injury record than Ndombele through his 7 seasons at our club since 2013. Lamela has only played more Premier League minutes than Ndombele’s 1011 in 3 out of his 7 seasons at the club. He also was a record signing.

A) Lamela's mentality was questioned constantly. There was even speculation that he had a drug problem.

B) It's less about the injuries than what we see on the field. Even when injured Lamela runs at the opposition like they slept with his mother. Ndombele (so far) hides and jogs around like he couldn't be bothered.

Hasn't he played really well or at least adeptly in a majority of his appearances? You'd think he was David Bentley or something jeez.

Edit: majority = 50% + one game

He’s had good moments but he has struggled to sustain them, which typically points to fitness issues

He didn't play well. He has shown flashes of quality when he had the ball. Off the ball he was really bad.

My own speculation, especially if TN goes is Breezers (and last nights) thoughts may come to pass - TN>Zaha.

I think what Ndombele needs (to be a success with us) is for Jose to have a proper 1:1 with him, cards on the table, and for Jose to tell him "You are my number 1 player and I will build my team around you, but only if you X, Y Z" ... and then tell him what is expected in terms of body language, injuries, defensive positioning, entourage press leaks etc.", and hope Ndombele steps up in a more carrot than stick approach ..... BUT there is no way Mourinho will pander to a player that has shown less commitment than other players like Lo Celso, Winks, Sissoko, Skipp etc. For Mourinho the group is more important than a star player. If Ndombele is not clever and driven enough to work out what he needs to do (and I think the mysterious knee twinge before the subs warm down after the restart shows he is not) then it is time for the club to move him on (on the clubs terms).

Mourinho would pander to a player if he liked him. But Jose has had his mind made up before he even arrived. Ndombele is too creartive and too much flair for a defensive manager. Ironically, this type of player is what Jose’s teams need most.

Do you think ndombele is too creative than ozil/sneijder/fabregas?

So you’re wringing off Clarke and Sessegnon from now? ?
I wouldn't wring them, I haven't written them off completely either - but if you spend the amounts that we did and get little in return (Clarke can't help where he is sent on loan, admittedly) then no, I haven't been impressed. We're now faced with one player having to potentially get a serious loan for his development (Clarke) Sess. has lost an entire season, and we've got serious problems with one of the most talented players we've had at the club (supposedly) with a ticket price ... If I can't be unimpressed with this and see a bit of doom and gloom with it, then I'll hand in my sunshine pumper card.
