Mourinho’s face dropping when they talk about the fixture list! He really is taking it each game at a time as he can’t face it (he was fine before it was brought up). He definitely has made a plan as he mentions kids etc but that is a guy who’s full of fear (rightly so).

Lampard out-thought Mourinho in both games against them last season. Fair enough the second we had no Kane or Son, but the first one at WHL we were totally outplayed, and in the second one we did not look competitive from the first minute. Those two games, and the 12 point swing, made a massive difference and for me was the main reason (along with Kane and Son's injuries) that we missed out on 4th once Mourinho was in-situ.

We should play U23's in the Caraboa cup game(s). Even let the U23 manager be in the dugout in charge and give Jose the night off. Playing Sun, Thurs all of a sudden is easy.

I don't think it's wrong to say Fat Frank will treat every game against us as a cup final. First to outdo his ex-coach, second, he bled the spammers' blood.

Can't wait to see him fail and get the sack.

He made the smart move to abandon his tactics and revert to the ones the team had been drilled in by previous managers. In the first half.

Even then its was mental decisions by three players that gifted them the game, not astute tactics.

Sure you can impose the narrative retrospectively if you're a journalists, but it's pretty clear we hacked off our own feet.

Well be interesting because I don’t think we’d go that far and then the question is, which first team players are dragged along?
I expect that this will actually force the mentality and bonding that Mourinho is after. If we come out of the next two weeks in all cups and no losses in the league I will be expecting a big season.

As much as I hated him as a Chelsea player, Lampard has impressed me as a manager, both at Derby and then at Chelsea. He got Chelsea CL football with a squad he inherited, a transfer embargo that left him with mainly inexperienced kids, with no decent defenders and a clown in goal. I'd say he had an impressive debut seasons as a PL manager. Now they have bought serious quality all over the pitch and have amazing strength in depth, unfortunately I think they will challenge in all competitions. I just hope Silva finds the EPL too fast and furious at 35, and that having too many players new to he league makes them disjointed. But if they do (as reported) get the Rennes keeper, and then also throw money at Declan Rice, they will have an amazing squad.

Watching highlights from Jose’s press conference yesterday and all I see is a man who’s genuinely enjoying his job. There’s a calm self-assuredness about him, peppered with the trademark cutting jibes of course but he seems relaxed and motivated.

I’ve loved what I’ve seen of him in the documentary, too.

A far cry from the man we saw in press conferences and interviews as United manager.

I hope people are finally starting to entertain the idea that United was the problem, not Jose.

Ok well PEH was in his last year of contract would not have bought him otherwise. Doherty was so cheap that it makes u think why wolves let him go for that, i suspect we will see this year. Sessegnon again chased him for 2 years but waited until in last year of his contract, but still dragged to last day of window. GLC got him on a loan deal ffs, again last day of window because he couldnt or wouldnt stump up and buy Bruno Fernandes. Ndombele yea he really looking like great deal. Bergwijn is a bit of exception, however he wasnt the managers pick but i have no doubt if knew the truth PSV needed the money. Funny how we are mostly picking up players in last year of contract. Thats opportunistic and not actually filling the squad whats really needed. Last 10 years in every season have always a couple players short.
You see what you want to. That's entirely your choice. Others see things differently.

Not good today. Too slow and negative.

Everton are a good side under Ancelotti but we miss a replacement for Eriksen, zero creativity from PEH and winks. We need Ndombele or lo celso to step up.

Awful start to the season :(

When Mourinho watches this team play, what does he see? Seriously? The defence is okay, but have a mistake a game in them and struggle on set pieces. The midfield absolutely cannot move the ball forward. And the attack look clueless. What does Mourinho see?
