It may seem like knee jerk after yesterday, but if we continue to buy mid-table or cheap players like Sorloth, then that's where we will end up finishing.

Good news that we’re progressing with forward talks. However you can have all the attackers in the world, but it’s pointless if you can’t get the ball to them.

Yep, agreed - good to know that there are options to cover/rotate with Kane but yesterday's game showed that without our more creative options on the field, we struggle to create chances and dominate games.

Will be interesting to see what we do now and who else we may target (if anyone) once some players are out of the door.

I don't understand why people are so down on Sorloth but not with the other players we've been linked to! Our general knowledge of all these players is pretty low & if you're going by YouTube footage, frankly, you're an idiot.

We have no reasonable data to compare against for any of these targets, bar the odd European league expert. Is Andy Brassell about?

Is it because he played as an inexperienced 21 year old in a crap Palace side for a few games?

Sorloth would be a new low - even lower than Rasiak, Saha and Booth
If he is the 2nd of 2 then I don't mind too much. The lad has better feet and is quicker than Llorente, who many seem to have given some sort of cult status because he had nice hair. If the lad is on the bench now and again and plays in cup games as part of the squad then I'll give him a chance. Of course, this is contingent on him being the 2nd of two.

The problem is, we have 2 of the best forwards in world football in Kane and Son. And you wouldn't of known they played in the second half. If we can't set them up, how is Sorloth going to get on in this team?

Funny if our wires get crossed and we sign all 4 strikers. Trial them all and see which one is not a donkey then sell the rest in Jan.

If Dragon is right about 2 strikers and one is Sorloth, i hope the other is Edouard as he's actually a good, young promising striker and also it gives Mourinho his target man in Sorloth when he inevitably wants Toby to continually ping it to his head for 90 minutes

This post it utter bullshit.

It was his eyes that were nice, not his hair.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t Sorloth fairly highly rated when he signed for Palace?

That said, it’s a really underwhelming name to be linked to - although I can’t say I’m surprised.

No. He wasn't rated highly at all. He didn't have a record to be.

Re Bale.

From someone super close....

Two parties making big strides. One making very small steps indeed.

He really is typecast as far as this one is concerned.

The frustration is building and it won't be long before RM and GB are looking seriously at alternative destinations.

Fuck sake Levy ☹ thanks for the update Trix.

Though I could forgive no Bale if we get a forward.

Suggests to me it’s all a PR stunt from Levy to show that at least ‘he tried’ but never has any intention to close off the deal as too prohibitive cost wise.
