There's no way GB's smug agent would talk about a potential deal they way he has, unless it was agreed in principal (...as in the major strokes of the deal being done).

As I it see the glass is definitely half full.

What do you mean "here we go"?

Tbh I wouldn't have even bothered posting this today had it not been for others saying it was done.

It's that insignificant imo.
Yeah but it's the whole goalposts moving thing which gets us like this. It's like getting to the half yard line on 2nd & goal and getting an offensive holding penalty moving you back 10 yards. Not the end of the world but could end poorly.

Seems kind of tough to believe this might only be a 1 year loan deal..he has 2 years left at Madrid. Anybody else feel like this will become permanent either when finalized or we will have easily afforded options to purchase?

Yea his agent coming out and saying what he has gives me confidence that at that point the deal was minimum 90% done.

Watch this and you'll get a sense of how long a deal like this takes to get done, he said it took 2 hours just negotiating over the press release, so from the new breaking to something being done I would say we still have a good few days to a week to go on this.

He also speaks quite positively about Levy which is promising.

1yr loan would be a bit of a let down unless some clause for another year, has to hopefully be permanent transfer or 2yr loan.

Bale is NOT done yet. A couple of slight goalpost shifts today as far as payment structures are concerned but nothing to worry about. With a deal this size and complex it is not unexpected. Everyone involved wants this to happen and are all working to make it so.

Ah yes. Danny’s regaling them with his O level dilemma. Expect movement soon. ?

agreed, 2 year loan could suit us and then can extend him for a year or two after until he rides off into the sunset on his golf cart with so many tottenham trophies

If he comes surely lucas or lamela leave?

With those two plus son , Bergwijn and Bale we would have one winger too many.

As I said before I'd sell lucas , I like that lamela can play as a 10 . But jose loves him.

Interesting times ahead.
