As excited I am about Tanguy being the main man this season ?, Sissoko definitely has a place in the squad and I'm for certain he's going nowhere

Sissoko is a good option off the bench to see games out or run at tired legs. As a starter though he's more of a hindrance than a help.

Agreed on both counts and really want that midfield but even today a weaker side and he played aSissoko and PEH

Thinks that’s just because Ndombele isn’t quite back to fitness yet. Worst thing that could happen is he starts the game, gets burned out and visibly tires through the games and then all the fans and media immediately jump on his back for lack of fitness. He’s been given a bit more today than against Everton. A start against Southampton would be great and see if he can do a good hour.

Give Tanguy the freedom with not much tracking back, like when Eden Hazard was at chavs. That is how you get the best out of him

Don't agree. I think you lose too much playing him anywhere other than in CM. Our biggest weakness is CM that's where he should be.

Still think it will be 4231 with Hojbjerg and Lo Celso as a 2 and Ndombele to occupy the more advanced Lampard role. Either way I look forward to see the 3 of them together.

New season.
Let's get behind tanguy. He clearly is a player that needs encouragement. I know we aren't in the stands yet but lets properly get behind him and make him feel welcome. I think he is the sort of player that really needs that support from the fans.

By the the way guys for all his huff and puff mourinho has played with teams that had total "luxury" players that didn't press all day. Tanguy just has to prove he is that special talent. I think he can.

Are you saying lampard played as a 10? He didn't if so. Was all about long range shots and late runs into the box for his goals but he was always a CM

Tanguy has to play in midfield not higher up. As we saw last season and against Everton, our midfield just couldn't keep the ball or get it forward to our very good front 3. Those are his strengths, that's where he has to play

I really think he needs to start games and see how long he can last instead of giving him a run out off the bench. It's the only way he'll get a chance to build proper match fitness.

Never mentioned Lampard as a 10 but just the more advanced in midfield

For sure he needs to but he was out with covid and didn’t have a full pre-season.

When we see the best of him, I think he is going to play with so much swagger, he'll be untouchable at times.

Hopefully this makes sense... but to me he is so much more worth accommodating the formation/players for than Alli. We build a formation around Dele and he's bad. Build the team around Ndombele and it will be well worth it.

Well there you have it, frankly I think what is under appreciated and especially on here is that it's not a simple case of motivation but not everybody who is going to move countries is going to find it seamless. You can chuck money and live in a fancy apartment all you want but the mental side of you does not give a shit about those things. Now usually a player can circumvent the difficult of moving abroad by doing what they do best and starting games but clearly, clearly in the documentary he was struggling with confidence because he wasn't starting games and it was effecting his entire personality.

Do I wish he was able to push through and work harder instead of letting those things be a catalyst for not putting in the effort. Of course I do but the amount of people who wrote him off and I'm sure continue to write him off because he had trouble settling in was frankly ridiculous. He's going to come good, I've said it before and I'll say it again he's had difficulties every step of the way and he has struggled initially but overcome. I truly believe he will do so with us and frankly there's no player whose turnaround I want to shove down peoples throats more the way some people wrote about him completely dismissing the possibility he just needed time to settle.

I think all the above is true but there has to be more to it than what you have said. Both Poch and JM failed to get a tune from him both on the pitch and in training. It is obvious that he was fighting some form of depression as he was unfit with little motivation. I only hope that we have provided him with motivational specialists so that we can get the best out of him. We will never know what he has been saying behind closed doors. Chuck in Covid as well which hasn’t helped him.

What I do know is that he has done more pass and movement in yesterday’s game than the rest of our team did in our first two games.

I along with the rest of the Spurs fans want nothing more than for him to succeed and be a major part of the Bale Revolution

The most frustrating thing is we did some nice bits against Everton where you can see what JM wants. We just don't do it 99% of the times.

That goal last night was special.
