Spare a thought for Danny Rose. A season or two ago, he said he would like Tottenham to sign a player whom you don't have to Google to find out who he is. Now, on the same day, we have signed two marquee players, but he himself will be gone sooner rather than later.

I always hoped he would come back for a season or two, but I still can’t believe Levy pulled it off!

Pleased Levy got it done but I don't think it was any great genius on his part. Madrid were desperate to get shot, Bale didn't want to play for anyone else. That's why it happened.

Well I am still impressed the club brought him in. It puts an established player out of the team to accommodate him and we might not be able to shift him before the window closes so this is Levy taking a financial hit and a gamble and he surprised me.

Maybe two clauses in both signings, Bale for another loan spell then he's on a free and a buy back that rarely ever happens as the player has to want to do it.

Reguilon was a great bit of business. I think United will live to regret turning that deal down.

For me it was always just a question of time. Yes, I thought it would happen sooner, but I never thought it couldn't/wouldn't happen. What I probably didn't expect was to have Kane and Bale in the same team and not be allowed in the stadium. :banghead:

I noticed in his interview Bale said that Tottenham "just keeps progressing year on year" - he's gone fuckin' mental down there between the sun, the cheap cava, the churros and all those lovely brunettes.

I bet you'd drink a lovely crisp vodka martini then eat the lemon twist garnish.

Think we're paying around 40% of his wages with no loan fee with an option of a 2nd year, that's probably the best business we could have ever done on this deal, Levy did well there.

Levy has done remarkably well. He has had one of the best stadiums and training facilities In the world built, brought in one of the most successful managers in football history to lead us, and has now backed him. If he gets rid of the likes of Aurier, Lamela, Rose etc it will be a remarkably successful business window. Don’t think we can ask for anything more from him. It’s time for Jose to lead us forward. While last weeks defeat was draining, he knows what we need to win. I think Levy will back him even more and give him time.
