Morning carbuncles

Here's another thread to talk about any ITK that we may get as of this post onward.

For those of you who don't have possession of the family brain cell this morning (and you lead me to believe that's a fair few of you), that's ITK we get AFTER this post. Not before.

Last night I told Mrs A&C that my new job is having sex live on stage

She said, "Are you having me on?"

I said "I'll ask, but so far they've all been thin & pretty"

Hahaha. I like that joke, I’m might reuse it in a gender/weight neutral sort of way. I’m Sure it will be just as funny.

For those interested I tried to summarise the recent ITK up until yesterday in the previous ITK thread. That way we might avoid clogging up this thread discussing 'old news'.

I won't post anything ITK related as I don't want to be mentioned in Twitter.
You ve my word on that, I promise not to mention it on Twitter. Well fill us in on the latest goings on at this wonderful football club???

So do we go big and build on the momentum from Bale, etc or do we now try and do our regular deadline day game of chicken. I reckon we won't see another exciting day until the end of the window now.

I fear we might, but I really don’t think we can afford to do that ( especially regarding a CF).

It’s too risky and we have to sign a striker. There are no excuses for not doing so.

Twitter spoils everything. Burn it to the ground.

It's that infuriating 'ITK' culture that has been building on Twitter. Full of complete pretenders, worshipped by kids who haven't got a clue. ITK aggregators causing problems with JJ and now Igi. It's a real shame we won't be hearing info from one of the posters who creates the most excitement on this forum.

It's hard to call, because our behaviour as a club has been so different to previous windows this time around.

With the exception of Hojbjerg with whom we were linked for much of last season, our transfers have all come out of left field and happened pretty quickly - Doherty wrapped up in a day or two, Hart overnight, and even Bale and Reguilon weren't really being talked about this time last week. Hell, I think they hid inside the training ground waiting for the announcement for longer than we were linked with them.

Makes me optimistic that anything could happen at short notice.

That said, with 5 in and 3 out so far (not including Skippy and Parrott), you'd have to think we'll be hearing more about outgoings than incomings over the next few days.

Do we reckon Group Stage qualification has any bearing?

From the sound of things if the Bale/Reg signings were indeed opportunistic, then whether we play in Europe or not may not have mattered to them. But we have so many games in the next two weeks, I reckon we're not looking at much until end of the next week.

We certainly won't see a day(s) like the recent ones for a while.
I think we'll get a striker in, then leave the rest for Levy to work his magic by preying on those in strife later in the window.

It probably depends on the striker target. Mourinho seems pretty insistent on getting a striker yesterday, I'd imagine Levy fancies playing poker with Benfica over a double deal for Dias and Vinicius, whilst hopefully raising some funds from sales. If Jose is happy to wait for Vinicius I suspect you are right.
