I won't post anything ITK related as I don't want to be mentioned in Twitter.

That's fair enough. I think some people underestimate how much risk is associated with giving out information. I know someone very high up at Stellar Group through my employers. Not only would I not risk my job by asking them for information, I wouldn't post it on the internet as over time a leak can be identified. So if Igi is feeling uncomfortable posting information, just accept that and stop trying to encourage other ways of posting it.

So do we go big and build on the momentum from Bale, etc or do we now try and do our regular deadline day game of chicken. I reckon we won't see another exciting day until the end of the window now.
Which means we still haven't learnt, same as it ever was. No wonder A&C and many others on here, unsurprisingly, get ticked off. Playing squad suffers yet again.

We. Never. Learn.

Edit: I have no idea if this response is allowed - if I've run ruffshod over the ITK thread rules I'll delete it. Sorry.

There's no way we can hang out for a striker. The top forwards are not likely to be available at the of the window because they're always players who need to be replaced. Interesting that Dragon is still going in on Edouard who seems to have his head turned. They would need to sell with enough time to get a replacement.

agreed, think the dias/vinicus stories will rumble on till then and we will end up getting neither. and get wout - which id be okay with - if we can also get another faster cb.

We've had ITK on Strikers for weeks. Probably already had preliminary discussions with relevant clubs and know the broad stroke terms for fee and wages for all the options. We aren't starting from zero. I would think once a decision is made on preference it will move very quickly.

The only potential hold up I can see is outgoings. Freeing up funds for a deal, but also how much we get for those outgoings could be a determining factor on which option we choose. For example:

Recoup £20m = Diallo
Recoup £40m = Vinicius(sp)

First half yesterday - was probably go big, second half - maybe a last day rush!

we need to go big, the time is now tbh, we always seem to be building!

The last time we signed five first team squad players before Deadline Day must have been when we spent the Bale money!

I think 3 of them were on TDD.

I'm relaxed about it all because we've been proactive so the only way I can see us having to wait is if our preferred option requires the wait (e.g. when a club wants to sell a player but wants an excuse not to replace them or use the money, which in this environment is possible for most of them)

While it's not ideal, if someone said "Player A on TDD or Player Z now" then I would choose the wait.

The recouping funds element of the ITK we've had seems to relate to any "non-striker" recruitment, so not sure that's right.

This. Striker seems to be on the cards regardless of outgoings. Who and how many of rest of wish list then seems dependent on getting rid of a few

Think unless the opportunity arises, we’ll be focusing on outgoings right now to balance the window then on deadline day, go scrambling for Diallo & Kim Min-Jae.

We want £70 mill for Dele
No takers
When you see similar profile players (similar in the eyes of our management anyway) like Kai Havertz who have gone for fees this window that can rise to over £70M, you can see where the £70M valuation comes from for an asset like Dele.
