PFA are an utter disgrace.

Sitting on millions in a reserve for a rainy day yet don’t provide proper testing to keep their members safe

Instead Gordon Taylor earns over £2m per year with his head of finance earning more than the head of finance at the premier league or at any club. Joke of an organisation that desperately needs to be reformed to protect the lower leagues

The premier league clubs are more 'covid' safe in terms of having regular testing, safer training facilities, medical staff due to money. Ultimately if someone has tested positive - Public Health England would be informed - who would advise - if noone else has to self isolate then I would be fairly confident that they havent came into close contact with him. Also with League 2 teams not being tested regularily we dont know how long the infection has been spreading. With Gundagon - if he got tested Monday and was negative - but tested Wednesday positive - they would look at who he has been in contact with for those days - and deal with the consequences - for Leyton Orient they cant do that. With regards the difference between that and Leyton Orient - we dont know the exact number that has tested positive but it looks like a lot more than a few.

Apparently it can take between 3 and 5 days after infection, for the virus to show up in tests. Gundagon may have been in contact with the source as long ago as last Thursday. He could have been contagious for all of that time. So it isn't just the days in between negative and positive tests that you have to worry about.

I agree with that - I mentioned that previously.

I think that premier league teams have agreed to undertake various measures including testing, distancing and other things. Although these are clearly by no means foolproof, it seems to have been agreed that they provide enough protection so that if one or two players become infected, the whole club doesn't necessarily have to isolate. If the lower-league clubs aren't following such a rigorous regime, they will presumably be having to follow self-isolations rules that are closer to the rules for the rest of the country.

This happened in the egg chasing on Saturday. French team had positives and Leicester were put straight into the SF.
Just saying.

Gutted for Orient, and for Harry who I imagine was looking forward to this with the whole shirt sponsorship thing.

And gutted for all us dweebs who will now have to find something else to do tomorrow night.

On a positive this helps us massively fitness wise.

I am astounded that the EFL are not required to take the COVID 19 tests. This goes beyond football as it does affect all, with the players having families and friends in the wide community. What rules were put in place by the government for the EFL to restart post the lockdown? Surely there are rules and guidelines. The EFL is not immune to this virus and is acting very irresponsible to put it mildly.

I find it crazy that us amateurs are allowed to carry on playing as normal. The minimal amount of restrictions that they’ve put in place e.g not showering, changing rooms out of order etc. aren’t being adhered to in our league.

Orient is my other team and not sure if it’s been mentioned that in Embleton’s post match interview after Mansfield on the weekend he mentioned that a number of players have been unwell. He stressed it wasnt Covid related but it’s a bit of a coincidence.

Spurs paid for Leyton Orient to get their players tested this weekend apparently

I'll wait until official club channels (either one) put out a statement. I suppose the good news is no fans travelling are affected. Annoyingly it's the shortest trip for us this week. ?
