I’m losing my patience and good will with Leyton Orient. We’ve paid for them to be tested in the first place, we’ve offered to pay their losses on TV coverage and continue to raffle our shirts for the JE Foundation and yet their chairman is still pleading with the football league to fuck our packed schedule further, completely ignore the rules that every club agreed to over no postponements and put our players at risk because even if the fixture was moved to next Tuesday, all of their fucking players would still be self isolating.

Should be cancelled with us getting a bye but with an agreement in place that we play orient later on in the season in some kind of friendly when hopefully the fixture congestion is sorted and fans are allowed back in.

Can they field a team? As in, surely they can find seven eligible players not exposed to the first team from somewhere?

Is it so difficult for the EFL to make a decision ? This mess rests on their shoulders and only they can decide the way forward. It is completely unsatisfactory that they have apparently so far failed to make a decision. What if Spurs were having to travel to some place north of say Manchester ? What if fans were able to attend. I realise neither is the case but it is shambolic that it still hasn’t been called off.

My eldest came down with a headache, sore throat and blocked nose over the weekend.
That was it, all three kids off school and a two hour round trip to get him tested yesterday. We now all isolate until his results come back (hopefully negative).
To think that a professional football team had so many players come down with a bug, yet still carried on as normal, is absolutely shocking.
It's also setting a terrible example.
Could all be asymptomatic mate. They may not have known

Travis indicated earlier they could field a youth team and that they'd deliberately isolated players in training. I assume that means they kept two separate bubbles of players e.g. the first team and then the U23/21s.

Bizarre that the decision is being made on the day of the match. Good thing we're playing Orient and not having to travel down to Plymouth.

Their manager said their team were all ill but it's "not covid" despite not being tested. You would assume if a majority of your team were ill during a pandemic it's probably best to get tested

Would it really make our schedule any worse? I can't imagine it would be changed to a date that suited us worse than two days before an away trip to Eastern Europe.

I imagine we will just be awarded the tie anyway, but in all probability we would have put out a team tonight without any of our first-choice players, so it wouldn't really affect us in terms of overplaying. On paper we're playing three games in four days, but the reality is it's extremely unlikely that anyone will play in more than two of them, and certainly no one will start more than two.

Rumours on twitter that the game will not be played tonight it's just a case of whether it's rearranged or we get a bye.

Orient unsurprisingly trying to get it rearranged.

After their antics at the weekend, I’m not sure I would trust them to be honest about isolating and bubbles.

They would still need to find a ground though, Brisbane road is closed

I'm quite surprised that we're the only ones in this situation. You'd imagine the other PL/Champ teams would have organised testing like we did.
